It just isn't worth the cost
It is not as translucent as I had hoped especially for the price. Compared to other brands of translucent polyform clays at half the price it isn't any different and a bit harder to knead.

this is the best translucent clay I've found
I've been working with polymer clay for just over two years, still a newby but a fairly well self taught newby. The only reason the name is 'deceiving' is because people don't know what translucent is.... so here you go..Things that are transparent are so clear you can see through them as if there’s nothing there. Things that are translucent allow light through but with significant diffusion or distortion. That being said, this is the best translucent clay I've found. Well worth the money and quite impressive! Saves me time with a heat gun, that's for sure!

I bought this based on the description of it as ...
I bought this based on the description of it as being transparent. It's vaguely almost kind of see through after baking if it's pressed to less than an eighth of an inch. So... Yeah. Kind of almost transparent.

Hard to work, good final results
Really stiff, hard to soften to working stage, but final results were good.

Love this clay
Very nice clay to work with, nice translucency. It doesn't smear together and bakes in only 10 minutes. Fast and friendly transaction, too! Very pleased.

the clay was too hard and seemed to be old. It crumbled in my hand and it took a lot to make it usable.

Disappointed
I'm not going to tell anyone not to buy this clay, but I will say that if you buy it, be aware that it is not "transparent", as the product name states (and as the screenshot I took of the listing shows); it is translucent - there's a difference. That difference might or might not matter if you're a casual crafter, but to a professional artist it does matter. (And if you are a casual crafter you might want to check out lower priced, reliable brands such as Sculpey, Fimo, and Kato.)After testing this clay based on the manufacturer's instructions I found that it is indeed translucent, not transparent. If I'd wanted "translucent" polymer clay, I could have gotten a similar amount of Premo for less than a third of the cost. I feel that the listing is misleading (and before anyone bashes me, please remember that I'm the first reviewer - the listing itself was all the information I had to go on). Chances are good that I won't be buying any Pardo Art Clays again.
