Honeywell - Voyager General Duty Single-Line Wired Handheld Barcode Scanner (1200g), 1 Count

Bought to work with my tablet using the square app for my markets, and it works great! No complaints, easy to use and reliable.

We got this scanner for our small craft business business. We have lots of Smalls that we sell and have to inventory. This keeps track of our entire inventory and makes it great for when it's time to reorder product works very well very easy to set up very pleased with it.

We have 4 of them running on an in-house-developed Windows 8.1 app that manages a document check-in/check-out library system. We got them specifically because they are compatible with Microsoft's USB-HID Point of Service (POS) Windows 8.1 SDK, and couldn't be more pleased. Using the accompanying documentation, it's very easy to customize them to suit your needs. They are very reliable, and we intend to get more of them as the system expands throughout our organization.

As a school librarian, I was hesitant to purchase a scanner on Amazon and especially this one as it was so inexpensive compared to those on Demco. This scanner was very simple to put together and with a USB end, it plugged right into my computer. I noticed that it scanned all of my barcodes including those that were damaged, smeared, and unreadable by my wireless Datalogic QuickScan. So far this week it has been working well. Let's see how durable this scanner is after 10,000+ scans in a few weeks. The only two complaints I have is that when i turn on my computer, I have to unplug the scanner and plug it back in for the scanner to turn on. The second complaint is that it took me a while to figure out the degree in which I had to hold the books for the scanner to read it.

Great barcode scanner that is a favorite with our sales associates and checkout staff. It has a fire button for the read laser, so no barcode misreads or laser flashes in the eye due to the inconsistent nature of automatic scanners, or always on scanners. The life of the scanner is also extended by at least X2 by having a fire button. My only real complaint with this specific purchase of the Honeywall Voyager 1200G is that non of them came with the usual configuration booklet via Honeywell that contains all of the settings barcodes and reset/default options, which is used for initial configuration of each new scanner. I tried to use an older 1200G config booklet and it did not work. I'm not sure why? Or why the config booklet that I've always received in past purchases of Voyager 1200G scanners was not included anymore with this set of scanners. The Voyager 1200G has been the most popular barcode scanner in our retail/POS deployments so far. In the past we've used many other brands and models from Honeywell and others, but over the last three years the Voyager 1200G has become our defacto POS and inventory barcode scanner across all eight of our specially market retail locations, and it is the only brand and model scanner that we use at this point. I do wish it still came with the configuration booklet though. I could deploy a scanner in 60 seconds with the config book. Now I have to use the Honeywell software config tools, which is much less convenient.

I’ve bought this product three times for the library I volunteer at. It’s worked great in the past, but this time the top part of the bar code reader stand was the wrong shape, so the scanner didn’t fit in the holder. We scan books, so we need the scanner to fit in the holder when we scan. I’ll be returning it and reordering… fingers crossed that the correct holder is in the package this time.

This scanner works with Square Stand. It's also supposed to work with Android phones if you have the USB to USBC adaptor. Haven't tested that yet but just happy that this worked with square stand. Very easy to do, just plugged into the hub and square automatically recognized it and you can use it to add items to inventory. The stand is nice too so you don't have to click the button to scan, it stays on in the stand.

Works really well with square and saves me hours of time.

It seems that the person who made this product has no cashier experience. I have been using Honeywell products for over 10 years. The conventional pistol shape is very easy to use. But this product is too inconvenient. Whenever I scan a 15can, 24can or 12BTL product at the Liquor Store, I have to raise my arm high to scan. Very uncomfortable. Next time I will never buy this type of product.

Me gusto la presentación, base con un poco de peso y eso evita que se caiga con facilidad, lo conecte y solo tube que reiniciar mi PC, para que funcionará. Escanea un 95% de todo mis productos. Por el precio y calidad, vale la pena.
