CADILON(TM) Color Changing Solar Light N' Dog Bag Dispenser

Well I left a 3 star review because the light was not functioning. SNV Designs actually called and emailed me to trouble shoot after they read my initial review. We never connected, but I decided to trouble shoot it myself. Well I have to say I did not read the directions. They work now and they are pretty cool. My apologies to SNV Designs. I was very impressed that they called and emailed me. I'm in the reputation business and they handled it better than most! Highly recommend these now!

Bought this to put outside my in-home doggy daycare. I was looking into one of those commercial dog waste bag holders but they were like $80-$300 depending. Being a small home business, I wanted to provide my customers and the neighborhood with the service of free waste bags but also not break the bank! I found this option and thought it was worth a try for the low price. So far it has been great! I easily mounted it to a fence using the included screws and cable ties. I also like that you can put up to 3 rolls of bags inside. The solar lamp also works good, it is just bright enough to help see the dispenser and bags. My customers and the community are utilizing this service I'm now able to provide of complimentary waste bags, and the dispenser is holding up so far to the wear and tear of multiple-person use. I will likely purchase another one if this one wears out and when this one does go out, I will definitely feel like I got my money's worth. I am glad I bought this instead of an expensive commercial one.

I love dogs, but I don't have a dog. However I live on a corner lot where every morning people walk their dogs, and they usually pick up after them, but not always. After one very large dog recently left a massive pile that they didn't pick up, I decided to be proactive and searched for poop bag dispensers to put out near the sidewalk. This one was the only one I could find for a reasonable price, so I ordered it. Upon receiving it I really loved the design, however I immediately noticed a couple of weak points. First, the top light fixture comes off way too easily. In fact I thought it would probably blow off because it's so loose. I wrapped some electrical tape about the part that fits inside the bottom, and now it fits very snuggly. So I went out to mount it on a fence post that is right near the sidewalk, and a fire hydrant where the dogs like to poop. I used the included screws, and mounted it using the keyhole slots, making sure the screws were as snug as possible. However it just seemed like a very weak and loose way to mount it, and I'm sure that in a very short time it probably would have broken off the fence, especially with the general public using the dispenser. So I dug around in my garage and found a large pipe strap, that I bent and modified slightly, and I used that to secure the dispenser to the fence. Now this dispenser is very secure, and I think it will stay on for many years. I stocked it with some high-quality, large poop bags, and people HAVE been using it. In fact when I woke up this morning I looked out and a guy had just walked his dog across the street directly to my dispenser. His dog pooped, and he bent over and picked it all up with the bag from my dispenser. For about $0.03 a bag (or less) when you buy in quantity, it's well worth it! In fact I think all neighborhoods should have several of these posted on the corners. So I would rate this dispenser at five stars for conception, but four stars for execution. I think they would be wise to do a few improvements to it, and maybe even charge a little bit more for an upgraded unit. By the way, I haven't checked to see if the light stays on overnight, but it does stay on at least for several hours after sunset, which is all I care about. Where it's mounted it doesn't get a lot of sunlight during the day, so I frankly wouldn't expect it to stay on all night.

This is not only an outstanding product, but has a PHENOMENAL customer service department to back it up! I always give my honest opinion on products, as I would hope others to do the same. Because I was only "95% satisfied", with my original purchase, this company went above & beyond to make sure that I was 110%! Customer service speaks VOLUMES & can make or break a company. This company should be proud, because they will have many future orders & loyalty from me; due to their dedication to their customers. This product came with 2 options for mounting: it can be hung with included screws or staked into the ground with the included stake (which is removable). I chose to stake them throughout my property. The quality of the bags are great & my Residents love the convenience of having more pet posts. The light easily charges during the day & puts out a nice light to let my Residents know where they can find it, in the evening. The top easily pops off & I was able to fit 3 rolls inside of it. The extra storage space is deeply appreciated due to my dislike of having to add bags to the dispensers in the dead of a bitter Iowa winter! This dispenser is sleek, looks good, functions great & has a fantastic price point, along with a phenomenal customer service department to back it all up!

I've had this going on 5 years and it still works fine. The light works off and on and was never meant to light up the yard. It more or less lets you know where the dispenser is. That said, once you get the hang of it, you can actually place two rolls on bags on the stem. I just replace them and pull both starting ends out of the silicone/rubber and good to go. I actually wrote this review because in looking to add a new one, I read a lot of bad reviews. Seriously? You need to understand that it needs to be installed with screws and also use the velcro stap to further stabilize it. We've even moved homes and took this with us and reinstalled. No issues at all. It does discolor a bit after 5 years of weather but it looks ok and works just fine. And - it's lasted longer than several others I have tried. I think using the velcro and the screws helps with longevity of use. I'm glad they have both options but using together is a win. Again, I recommend and am purchasing an additional to replace the cheap plastic device that already broke. I should have just ordered a second one of these to start. And remember folks, it's not a security light, it's plastic, lives out in the elements and it's for poop bags. I would temper expectations a bit.

This is a light plastic base that I use with the plastic stake in the ground near where I find neighbors dog poo often. So far no one seems to want to use the bags but the blue-ish white colored solar light is bright enough to see in the dark, and its obvious that there are dog waste bags inside of it. It's great to have outside too if you forget to bring a bag on your walk,'as you can snatch one out of this without having to run into the house. This also makes it easy enough to quickly pick up poo in your yard; having the bags stationed outdoors is helpful. It takes the usual doll of dog poo bags, any brand works as you just unscrew the light cap and put the bag on a roller and feed the bag through the hole. Not a bad purchase for any dog owner. **update - have had two of these now. First one broke (the stake cracked when pulling too hard on poop bags) and the light stopped working. Purchased another and the light doesn't work after 4 months and the light area is all coroded. I don't think this holds up in moisture well. Won't buy another one.

Only works occasionally, has nothing to do with the amount of sun on a particular day, but it’s almost like it’s completely random (won’t come on for two weeks, works great for a couple days, dim for a couple days, off another few days). I like the bag dispenser set up, the light is the only frustrating part

This is a great product, exactly what I was looking for. It can hold a few rolls of poop bags, but you will have to feed the first bag through every time. It is really good for those rolls that don't have the plastic spool in the middle, so there is nothing to take out when you finish a roll. The light that it puts off is not a lot, but is good for an entrance to a path or walkway. I am not sure how long the light lasts, but it has been cloudy every day here since I bought this product and the light has lasted at least until midnight every night. It comes with a stake you can fit into the bottom of the unit, or screws so you can mount it to the side of something. I have it staked in the front of my yard at the entrance of my walkway in case I, or any of my neighbors, forget or run out of poop bags on our walks. I'll probably get one for the back yard too, and mount it to one of the supports under my deck.
