There is a circle of controls . If you hold in the one at the bottom for a couple of seconds it will make s sound . A second later it'll make another sound then you should be ready to go.

How quickly does the blutooth disconnect after switching off ignition?

It’s not connected to the cars ignition. It has its own batteries. I bought one, when I had the built in car hands free taken out for repair. Worked ok for the 3 weeks I used it.

How do you connect to phone

Turn the handfree kit. Go to settings on your phone select pair devices and press look for new device.
