Ok I bought these little tweeters to put in my wifes 2005 Ford Explorer since I ordered a external crossover and a subwoofer why not some tweeters. Well I just put them in today and at first I was disappointed because when I listened to them I didn't even get the volume up to 10 before they started cracking but since I flush mounted them I didn't want to give up so quickly. I started back tracking and realized I put the crossover that came with the tweeters on in backwards(yes I know stupid and to think I actually worked at three different car stereo shops). Finally after going back into the door panel and putting them in right(they put those little male and female connectors in to dummy proof the installation for a reason) way they actually sounded ok with no cracking noises and with a little volume it sounded even better. Ok sure they are not top of the line MB Quartz but they are only 10 bucks so I say well worth it just follow the directions and don't be over confident like me and save yourself some time but I would buy them again in the future.

There is no way that these are 92dB. As compared to 3 different tweeters I had on-hand (85dB - 90dB) they produce about 1/2 the sound per watt of audio. If you've got lots of power to share among your speakers, they'll work ok. At $10, I wasn't expecting audiophile quality - they are worth the price and worked for my purposes.

For the money this is a good tweeter. The highs are clean. Its a little lacking in the low range, but that is due to its size and the fact I am running with the stock headunit power. The bad factory tweeters in your car tend to be the opposite, produce the low range better than the high. I'll be hooking up an amp in the spring and we'll see how they do, but so far so good.The crossovers are a 2 by 1 by .5 inch (approx) light rectangular box, make sure you have room for it, I used velcro tape to secure it.
