LudwigC1114 Weather Master 14-Inch Clear X-Thin Bottom Snare Side Resonant Drumhead

Great quality, Love the durability of Ludwig Weathermaster heads!!!

This is my snare set up; I'm using a Steel SensiTone snare drum w/chrome finish with this Evans Hybrid Coated Snare Batter Drum Head 14 Inch. For my bottom head I'm using this Ludwig C1114 Weather Master 14-Inch Clear X-Thin Bottom Snare Side Resonant Drumhead. I went with the PureSound Twisted Series Snare Wire, 20 Double Strand 14 Inch, and the Monster Percussion Superior Snare Straps - color; Midnight. I've tuned it a bit high and I'm getting next to NO overtone. The sound I'm getting is crisp and bright - good attack and good balance and seriously no overtone. I'm very picky when it comes to my drum sounds and go through length to personalize my set up to find the right sound combination for my kit and I'm very satisfied with these.

These are the correct snare reso heads available for vintage Ludwig snare drums.These heads fit best on these drums and sound great. Nice clarity and no extra resonance.I use these on my 1965 Jazz Festival and 1968 Supraphonic with the Ludwig Medium batter heads.

Good head

The low collar design prevents the snares from excessive rattling and ring.

Not too heavy like so many of the more modern designs geared toward heavy hitters. Very responsive and thin head that offers enhanced snare articulation.

I am old school made my 1968 superphonic sound like 1968 . Try remo snare side head didn't like sound
