Photoflex Film Changing Room

Great item - much easier to work in than the little changing bags that look like a black t-shirt. More room here, and less humidity - I ordered one of these after getting all hot and sweaty inside a little changing bag (I call it a swearing bag) to the point where the humidity made the roll of 120 film so sticky that I completely mangled the film while trying to spool it onto the developing reel. This changing tent is FAR easier to use - it comes in a neat bag with a folding arrangement so that it's easy to set up and put away. No light leaks noted.

I no longer have to fumble around in my makeshift darkroom closet, to which I've lost film from light leaks, and since I live in a small apartment, I don't have space to make a dedicated dark room. This thing is awesome.It does get a bit hot if you're in there for a while, and it's a bit cumbersome to use because of how wide it is, but that's the compromise between how much versatility is offered in it's size. I'm able to load 6 4x5 film holders, and still have enough room to load 6 4x5 sheets into my Jobo tank.But beyond that, the best part is that it's portable! I can take this thing on long trips with me, and don't have to worry about making a dark closet.Overall, love the product and highly recommend it!

Its hard to explain how uncomfortable this Photoflex changing room is in terms of poor ergonomics. Unless you are used to having your arms curve around a barrel like a giant crab, this device is an instrument of torture. I load 4x5 film into holder. It is not natural to have your arms work from the side at that angle. Terrible! Take a look at the Harrison -- it has the arm inserts on the FRONT not the sides. Now I know why. Sorry I got this one -- seemed like a bargain. If you do decide to get this, just set it up and leave it that way (stored in a closet at full size) as people have problems when doing repeated setups and takedown. The supports break. I give this an F.

The only way to load sheet film into holders!

Works well enough. Doesn’t seem very durable

Packs down small and does the job. I can fit my Jobo 3010 and the 5 4x5 film slides with ease into the tent.The arm holes fit my largish arms and not had a problem yet!

just what I needed, has the room for all holders and film that I need.

Much easier to load 4x5 holders in than the bag.
