Only way to go replacing the older truck windshield seals.
Works great I had one years ago and it disappeared. Had to have another for my 76 c10 replacement seal, only way to go. Good quality tool.

other than the fact I don't like climbing step ladders anymore
Had a windshield popout problem on motorhome. I tried to get the glass and seal back, using a couple of screwdrivers, that turned out to be virtually impossible. I talked to the safelite man, and he said he did not do motorhome windshields, so I asked him if he would show me what tools he would use, if he did. He showed me a tool similar to this Lisle 47 tool, and explained about how to do it, using warm soapy dish liquid. I then found this tool on amazon, and ordered it and received in a few days. This is quite rugged, and works very well, just don't get in a hurry, and look at the instructions which there are not many. Also take a look on youtube for a video. In my case it turned out to be a fairly painless job, other than the fact I don't like climbing step ladders anymore. In my case I also fabricated a clip that would bite slightly in the rubber seal, and hold the rubber seal in place on upper right hand corner of windshield. Its been good every since. I carry this tool in the motorhome just in case. Worked great for me

Worked a miracle
I've been selling classic cars for 24 years now and have lots of vehicles that have chrome moldings and lock strips in the windshield. On my own tow rig, a 1992 Dodge pickup, we needed to have the windshield replaced, and the new gasket was so tight that my glass guy and his helper spent over an hour to get it installed. Asked about the plasticky chrome strip, he mentioned there's no way to do this. Zero, nada, nilch. So I bought this tool, and installed the molding myself. Was it easy, no, but it wasn't impossible either. I had never done that before, but that tool allowed me to get the job done. Highly recommended. Just make sure you use the best-fitting of the 4 openings.

Works as advertised.
I doubt that I would have been able to insert the locking strip into the window seal without a tool like this.

Makes a very difficult job easier.
I had to put a bend in the shaft to get the handle away from the rubber. Not sure if this would be required for all installations, but it did for mine. Once you get through the learning curve it gets easy and really speeds up installing lock strip. Not sure I could have gotten the lock strip in without a tool like this.

Works as advertised
I have a 65 Chevy C10 I'm rebuilding and am putting in new rear window glass. I futzed around with the chrome sealer strip for a couple of hours trying to get it in with screwdrivers and plastic knives to zero success. Bought this tool and had it completely done in less than an hour, and I got better as the minutes ticked by. Absolutely worth what it cost even if I never use it again!

Y**.
bought to install the bead , had to do a few test to find out which end is the best , but once you have the right one , it makes a really crappy job , becoming a medium one well built , solid grip , and tip did not rotate during use as I was fearing would buy again

Made an impossible job fitting the locking strip around a window possible. Though not sure what we'll do with it now as it's a very specific tool for a very specific job. Still, worked very well once we'd figured out how to use it.
