Great table, Assembly ok, Instructions *SUCK*
In short - the table itself is excellent. High quality, and while I'd have preferred better wheels/axles - the ones supplied work quite well. Minor complaint about opening it - you can't reach both latches from one location, so you have to release one and torque the top a little so it stays out, then release the other side.Assembly was very straightforward - it took me about 90 minutes. You definitely need 3 people when you mount the table to the support frame. And if you don't have a metric ratchet set - get one, even if it's cheap. I can't imagine how long it would have taken with just two open end wrenches. All that being said, it's a darn good thing I'm an engineer - as the instructions really, really, really leave a lot to be desired. They consist of a number of drawings, with no text. In a few places, it is *NOT* clear which way a part should be installed, and it matters. Furthermore, the hardware package is obviously a "universal" kit. I had an mountain of pocket parts when I was done. Enough that I was certain I'd missed a step in the assembly, forcing me to recheck every step. Truth be known, I probably could have assembled it in less than an hour if the directions had been more clear.

Great quality and portability
I concur with other reviewers that the assembly takes a long time. I will repeat what some others have said: sort the various nuts and bolts before you start; will save you a lot of time/trouble once you start the assembly. There are a lot of bolts of similar sizes. Also, get yourself appropriate ratcheting wrenches as there are a lot of nuts to be bolted. The instructions were very clear (I like pictorial instructions), and installation was relatively easy; time consuming, but not difficult. I had my son (9 1/2 years old) as a helper, and he could do most of the assembly with me. For lifting and attaching the table top halves to the platform you should get an adult for help.Once assembled, it is very easy to move around, set it up, fold back up, etc. Even my son is able to do this by himself. I liked the mechanism that folds/unfolds the two halves: should be safe for older kids if they can reach the top bar. Of course, once folded it can tip over if kids bump into the table, so care should be taken while in that state. As for the playing surface, I am no expert but I thought the bounce was a bit less than I expected. However, for a portable _outdoor_ table, it is an excellent surface. There is space for holding the 4 paddles and 8 balls. Now enjoying playing table tennis after a long time! My son loves it. One more activity for us to do together!

Very pleased but...
Assembling the table is a multi-hour task. Thanks to some of the reviews here, I was largely prepared. Having a couple of 11 mm wrenches would have helped. I had one 11 mm wrench/ratchet set and an adjustable wrench, which was fine, but if I had to do it over, I'd have gotten the second wrench. Actually, if I had to do it over, I'd have paid someone to assemble it! I see that Amazon is offering an assembly service for little over $100. Worth considering, especially if you will be doing this alone. You will need a 19 mm wrench for 4 bolts/nuts. Another review here said that the 3/4" would work well for those. That knowledge might have saved me a trip to the hardware store, mid-process. Study the directions before getting to work and, like someone else here usefully posted, layout all the pieces in clearly marked groups. A Sharpie pen and one of the large sides of the packing materials worked nicely. It is a bit like assembling an Audi from parts. Everything fits together beautifully. At the end you have a great table and the makings of lots of fun. Highly recommended!

Not Worth $700, Maybe not even $400
None of us intends going pro, but there should be more for $700. My money is as good as anybody's, after all.The vagaries of delivery I'll not belabor, but just to say the date Amazon promises is not the one the secondary delivery company will go by. Amazon warns that someone MUST be home to receive, then delivery date gives way to another and, in my case, even another.Indeed, the table does take a good 3 hours to assemble, at which point one suspects, to one's horror, that one side is bowing. (Actually both sides do, but one does enough to irritate.) As other reviews indicate, one should not expect the sides to match in the middle.Butterfly, one supposes, does not believe table tennis is important enough to provide a satisfactory table. Returning it would be a joke, as disassembly would be a bear and the packaging is all but destroyed in the opening of it. Of course, the option to return is there. Apparently, though, they will not send a replacement side, which would be the most satisfying solution. At $700, what one receives in not acceptable. At $400, perhaps, I would have purchased as is.

Lots of Family Fun
This is likely one of the best purchases we have made for our family. Our children spend hours playing ping-pong either with each other or with us, and it is a fun activity for my wife and I too after the kids are in bed. We use this table multiple times throughout the week, and the chance to play ping-pong motivates the kids to get their homework done! The table seems solidly built, and I anticipate it will hold up well over time even with our hot California summers. We aren't professional players so we don't have any complaints about the way the ball bounces as I noticed some other reviewers had. It took some time to put together but we were able to complete it in about two hours. In regards to assembly, probably the smartest thing we did was follow the advice of other purchasers and sorted out all the various nuts and bolts before beginning construction. Seriously, take the time to do this, it will save you a lot of hassle. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase and would purchase this table again.

You have to be really good at putting stuff together and reading so so instructions
So far I like it, decent quality which it should be for over $1000. I think it should have all SS screws and washers for an outdoor product at this price. And holly cow, set aside about 5 hours to assemble it
