this is the best one of all of them
I initially tried to get this product through the Anker website as a power user to test and write a review, but was unable to get the product in time when it was offered, and I needed another battery case as soon as possible.I have an iPhone 6S, and have tried multiple battery cases for this iPhone, and for an older iPhone 5S. Honestly, this is the best one of all of them! I had purchased Kidigi desktop dock charger cradle to use in the office and at home, that has the micro USB male connector already built into it. With the other battery cases, it was very hard to mate the phone to the cradle without fumbling around trying to mate the phone with the cradle, as the other battery cases had a recessed area where the male connector inserts into, making it hard to properly seat the micro USB into the phone (causing some improperly inserted connections, off center, etc.). The Anker iPhone 6s Battery Case is a very nice fit, the micro USB connection contained on the case is flush with the outside of the case (not recessed as much as the other battery cases). The case is rugged, although I haven't deliberately dropped it to test it, naturally. Mounting the iPhone into it was very simple, and is a snug fit. I have a 'Zagg' glass lens cover, and the case fits fine with it on the iPhone. The sound is sufficient through the openings, but then again, I don't mind, as I don't listen to music all that much, other than using the phone for white noise for music. They work fine for the speaker function when on phone calls, though. Also, unlike other battery cases I have had, the Anker batter case will charge up to 100% and show 4 white led lights showing that it is complete, whereas the others would not stop flashing, plus, when you would disconnect from the charging cable, the case would automatically connect and start to re-charge the phone. I would have to turn 'off' the battery charging the iPhone as soon as disconnecting from the cable. With the Anker battery case, when you disconnect the cable (or like my case, the dock), the Anker battery and phone are charged, and the Anker battery case is not pushing power to the iPhone's battery unless you push the little charge button on the battery case. This was VEry important to me.Overall, a very good product, and I would most highly recommend this to friends!

Quality case with very very easy to use functions
My original review was pretty scathing of this product. I am pretty sure I received defective product and I didn't hold back on detailing everything that I was unpleased with. Anker customer support reached out to me (I didn't call them) and made it right. For that I am thankful and felt obliged to update my review to reflect their superior customer service. This case has a great feel to it. Its not too big and it is still sturdy enough to protect from accidents. It isn't going to provide the protection that some cases are designed to provide, but that is OK by me because I hate feeling like I am carrying around a toaster in my pocket with the bulky protective cases.I am still not a fan of having to use a different cable but since that is clearly called out in the description, I feel like it would be unfair to hold that against the product.PROS:Feels like a quality case. I actually prefer the size/weight of my iPhone 6 in this case more than just the bare phone.Battery life is a major win for me. Normally by noon I am having to chase down a charging cable and either leave my phone at the nearest charger or be tethered to that cable for a couple of hours. Now, I don't have to worry about that at all. I usually get 1 whole recharge plus a part of another on one night's charge.Superior, customer-centric support from Anker. They actally offered to replace the product with another similar product (backup battery) if this one did not fit my needs. All in all, I feel like I received Amazon Prime level of customer support from the Anker team and will have no problem buying, with confidence, from them in the future.CONS:The only thing I don't like about the phone is having to have lightning cables and micro USB cables at my normal charging spots but that was remedied by adding the extra cables and is a non-issue now.

I love the sleek design and how it fits in my ...
I love the sleek design and how it fits in my hand. It holds a good charge, and it more than doubles my usage time. It also adds a layer of protection for the phone. I've dropped it in the course of use several times, and felt confident that the case was going to protect, which it did. It came with two bumpers, which was handy since they are pretty flimsy and the first one broke. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars for 3 reasons:1) After less than a year the micro plug-in has loosened so much that i have to wiggle the cord to find a sweet spot for charging, which is a bit irritating, especially in the car, and it jiggles loose so easily that I can't use the phone when it is plugged in because I have to keep the phone laying where I can monitor to make sure the light is still blinking, letting me know it is still charging.2) In my perfect world it would have the same style as the Ultra-Slim version with the top that pull off rather than the bumper.3) Also, in my perfect world it would have a lightning connection rather than the micro so I could use one cord for all of my apple devices. That said, I like the product well enough and it is rated well enough by the experts that I will replace the one I have.

This has been a quality case - read below.
It's a nice packaged case for my phone. It's not any larger then my Otter Box other then slightly longer. Feels snug around my phone.I love the intelligent shut off when my phone battery reaches 100%. I rarely charge the case plus phone, I have noticed that the case can get quite warm and I just perfer charging separately as they charge individually faster.I like it so far.Time will show its quality and durability though but it feels very solid.Update- 6 months running, and I runs great. Worth in!Update 6/17 - After heavy use, many charge cycles, it is still going strong. However the bezel peice is starting to crack as I remove it from the case almost daily to use with other phone attachments. It has been such a good battery case that I have ordered a second to replace this one when it finally does go.

Second time lucky
I am normally a big fan of Anker products. I have bought their batteries and cables in the past and never had a problem. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the first battery case I bought. As soon as it arrived, I put it on charge and then about 8 hours later attached it to my wife's iPhone 6. All was fine and (in spite of what some other reviewers have said) the iPhone definitely recognised the case as a certified accessory. Mrs E said that she actually preferred the weight (it adds about 100g) and size of the phone when it was in the case as it was easier to hold and easier to find in a pocket or handbag. However, two days later, I noticed that the phone wasn't charging even though it was connected to a wall charger (while still inside the case). The case battery on the other hand seemed to be charging fine. According to the Anker forum, both the phone and the battery should charge simultaneously when connected to a wall charger. If I removed the phone from the case and connected it directly to wall charger using a Lightning cable, the phone charged normally.Anker arranged for a replacement to be sent via Amazon and I am pleased to say that it has been working perfectly for over a week now. I haven't timed it but the case battery seems to charge the main battery at roughly 1% every 90s - that would equate to a full phone re-charge in about 2.5 hours. It is probably worth noting that although this case is intended for the iPhone 6 you actually charge it using a regular Micro USB connector (there is one supplied in the box). This is a kind of 'mixed blessing'; on one hand there are far more micro USB cables/chargers around than Lightning cables/chargers. On the other hand, it means that you can't use any of the Lightning cables you may already own while your phone is in the case. On balance, I prefer that it allows me to charge the iPhone with a Micro USB cable. The other point of note is that if you will need to use an adaptor to plug in your headphones. Again, one is supplied in the box and there are third party versions available on Amazon should the original get lost or damaged. Some reviewers have mentioned an issue with the case popping open. This isn't something I have experienced although I have noticed that you have press the case down all round the edges of phone (not just at the top & bottom) for it to 'snap' properly into place. So why only 4 stars? When it works, the case does exactly what it should - it recharges an empty phone in a few hours. However, my first one only lasted 2 days before a fault developed and reading through the other reviews, a few other buyers have also had reliability problems. If not for this, it would have been another 5 star product from Anker. Fortunately, between Amazon & Anker the replacement process was about as painless as it could be. So overall, I would say it is still worth buying and a lot less expensive than some competing products. As always, if I encounter any further problems, I will update this review.

This case is superior to anything I've had from Mophie for 3 distinct ...
I can only compare this to my previous battery cases which were all from Mophie. I've used Mophie since iPhone 4 or 4S can't remember rightly, but I've had 3 different cases from Mophie. This review is for the Anker Extended battery case for iPhone 6, although I'm using it on my new 6S.This case is superior to anything I've had from Mophie for 3 distinct reasons:-1/ Fit and build quality. The Mophie cases I have had have all fitted from just okay to one that was loose enough so the iPhone would move about within the case while being used. All Mophie cases have let too much dirt inbetween the phone and the case because of bad fitting. Two of my Mophie cases have suffered from me losing the small part of the case because they became loose fitting over time. This is partly why I've gone for the Premium Extended version rather than the slim fit Anker. I am hoping that this band fitting on the extended will provide moew security and also offer more protection. The Anker case certainly fits more snugly and feels to be higher build quality than the Mophie cases I have owned. Another thing to note is that the Anker micro USB cable fits into the charging port perfectly and securely on this case. All my Mophie cases have been too loose fitting with the micro USB meaning that you cannot use your device whilst charging without the cable constantly dropping out. This is extremely annoying. The Anker case holds the micro USB nice and tight so it's easy to use whilst charging. The only negative point is that the supplied cable is too short. I knew about this when I ordered though so I added a pack Anker micro USB cables to my order that range from 1ft to 6ft.2/ Battery capacity and charging efficiency. All my Mophie cases have fallen short of the advertised charge they should give my phone. At best I got around 70% of the advertised charge. My most recent Mophie case would take my 5S from 20% to around 85% on it's full charge. This Anker case allows a full charge of my 6S and then some. The charging button must be held down for around seconds to switch on avoiding accidently turning the unit on whilst in my pocket.3/ Price and warranty. This case is half the price of my cheapest Mophie case £30 rather £60 for the Mophie. The warranty is 18 months which shows they believe in their products shelf life. It's amazing that this product beats Mophie cases in all areas and manages to be half the price. Just goes to show how much Mophie were over-charging their customers when they had a monopoly on the market a couple of years back, in my opinion.Anybody still thinking they should go for a Mophie hoping to get superior build quality as they are so expensive please don't! All three of my Mophies have been vastly inferior to this case.

I bought it because the iPhone battery is rubbish....
I do, from time to time, leave "sponsored" reviews - I get something from Anker, use it for some time and then leave a review. I mention this for the record but want to stress that this review is different.I bought this item for a number of reasons. The main reason is that I make extensive use of Bluetooth as my hearing aids link to the phone via Bluetooth so, the iPhone being what it is with battery life (=rubbish) I needed something that would get me through a couple of days without needing to call in at a charging station. I bought _this_ item because I trust Anker to do good gear. I wasn't disappointed. The other reason I chose this one is the Anker brand. I've found Anker to be a brilliant innovative company that does great techy/geeky products. The warranty is very good too.The device is a snug fitting slot in case with a snap on frame - a bumper if you like. It adds weight to the iPhone certainly but not so you'd really think too much about it. The key benefit is that battery pack. With it fitted and charged I can run the phone down to ~5% and then switch the battery on -there is a small button on the back- and the LED charging lights come on. It then charges the phone completely seamlessly.I can get 2 1/2 cycles out of the battery - more than enough to do a short business trip using the phone all the time for calls, email, mapping and, of course, bluetooth. The only bugbear you might find is that you need an adaptor to connect headphones to the battery case. The socket for the headphones is a pretty small hole and it needs a super thin headphone jack (it's still 3.5mm but the casing is much smaller than normal) for it to fit. It's not an issue for me because of the bluetooth connection but thought I would mention it.The other issue is that it converts the phone from a Lightning connector to a MicroUSB connector. Again, not an issue for me but your results may vary. Still worth 5 stars to me.

Totally lives up to the hype
I get 1.5 charges from this case when 4% it's nice and sturdy I would recommend it and i am glad I bought it.I have charged the phone and the case at the same time from my Imac and also the phone and case together as a unit. As a unit it charges faster than separate which is fantastic.I am someone who has a fear of being without battery - and recently when I was in A and E this was a godsend**UPDATE** The unit now seems to be charging itself faster than the phone. The unit charged fully whilst the phone dragged along and got to 98% before it then finished the last 2% so it's not doing the charge through properly.**UPDATE 2** The unit is now charging my phone on it's own without me telling it to. I noticed my phone was charging at random times and tonight it's back to 100% and it's dropped from 4 to 2 lights on the back. I believe this could be a fault? I am going to get in touch with Anker about it.

Another great product from Anker!
Another great product from Anker! The case fits my iPhone 6 perfectly and has really easy access to buttons, speakers and sockets. The case gets a little warm when charging but nothing to worry about - even in a pocket. I was originally concerned that the case's charging socket wasn't a standard lighting one but it's actually been a blessing - cables are much easier and cheaper to find, plus I got a great charging stand for much cheaper than an iPhone one would have been.I've tested the power of the case by draining the battery and fully charging and it's good for nearly two full charges of my phone. The case does make your phone bigger - that can't be helped. But not enough to prevent it fitting in your jeans pocket, plus it actually makes the phone feel sturdier.Ive tried a few other battery cases but this is by far well above the others. Don't compromise and get a cheaper case - I'll be going for Anker every time.
