ARRMA KRATON 1/8 Scale BLX Brushless 4WD RC Speed Monster Truck Rtr (6S LiPo Battery Required) with 2.4Ghz STX2 Radio, ARA106040T1 (Red)

The media could not be loaded.  I have been out of the RC hobby for a while, this Kraton is so much fun!! I love the throttle response. I had to turn it down because it was too fast on 4s Lipo, but then when I turned it up to 100% throttle it screams! I hate to say it but I did hit a tree, my fault!! It was just fine, thisd thing is tough and amazing. You will not run out of fun with this machine! I even built a ramp to launch it into the air, and it flies (See Video)! Do yourself a favor, buy it now!

Coming from traxxas cars and being an xmaxx owner i figure in about 20% extra to the purchase price of the car for upgrades. Arrma seems to have a different constuction pholosophy. While not bulletproof it seems very solid. I had to baby my xmaxx until all that was gonna break did break. This thing i just send it. Love my xmaxx but this car is re defining hobby grade rc for me. Oh the radio is just ok not great but useable. But whats with the awesome wheel wrench. Traxxas gave me a nylon t handle for xmaxx wheels, this truck comes with a great big multi purpose actual wrench. I think as my collection grows there will be a few more arrma trucks in there.6 month update.Still a darn solid car. Replaced wing mounts as they were bent but not broken. I had my first real break a few days ago, it was just the stock bumper. Went up a grass hill and it wanted to backflip the rear end landed and it cartweeled ti the front bumper. No biggie. 4 screws and a cheap bumper and im back in business.

It's pretty beastly I must say. Insane fast with 6S battery. Low to the ground, can handle some crazy fast sharp turns/slides even on grass without flipping over, one wheel usually comes up but it's just enough to stay planted.Took some pretty bad flips under full power that made the wing end up shoveling out craters from the lawn but other than it breaking itself off after 4-5 of these craters, it's been rock solid. Now when I wheelie out of control at 60mph on grass it just slides on it's roof, no more damage... who needs that wing anyway.The two bolts holding the wing mounts at the rear of the shock tower brace broke off, well one bent 90deg, the other snapped off completely. Also this caused the chassis rod mount to pull one of the screws out of the rear plastic diff housing, but they all seem to have through holes so I got a longer bolt and added a nut.. fixed!Replaced them then made 3-4 new high speed craters with the Wing then it broke off again... bent both stainless replacement bolts this time. I blame the wing break on my driving, nothing else was even tweaked.This was all within probably the first full 1-2hr worth of drive time - after a couple full 6s 5000mAh batteries, tons of failed flip over tumble crashes, rollovers, etc. No other problems after 5+ hard hours. I just leave the wing off now. Problem solved.

It is a great vehicle version 4 has so many upgrades over the other generations that it just handles jump after jump with ease and it's great to bash on 6s and for me the stx2 transmitter gave me no lag or glitches outhers have talked abought. All in all great out of the box. My favorite so far tho I ordered the Notorious as well so when it gets here who knows. The kraton on 6s does standing wheelies for 100feet so the Notorious on 6s must be epic on my 100c 6s packs. Well anyway it's a great vehicle for the price. This review has gone on to long all ready..

Wow! This thing is a beast! I was having a very hard time deciding between the arrma kraton and the traxxas erevo. I was concerned it would not be as fun or as good as the traxxas e revo. That worry was unfounded. This rc truck is simply amazing.I did break the front arms within 20 minutes of driving it due to a high speed impact with the foundation of my house. I replaced the arms with RPM brand arms, and they have been solid so far.Update: 2020-03-05This thing is still kicks ass! I broke the wing mount, and replaced with RPM brand. I may replace that with a TBone racing brand if the rpm mounts break. The TBone mounts eliminate a screw that sheared off on the factory mount.I replaced the stock radio and receiver with a Futaba 4pm and R304SB and it's great. Very fast compared to the stock spektrum radio.Update 2020-04-24What other Arrma RCs can I buy? Seriously, this thing rocks!I replaced the stock bumper with a tbone racing thrasher. The stock bumper kept getting pushed up after nose dives, bending the mounting screws. The tbone thrasher has a bock to hold in the hinge pins, and is supported on the bottom by an integrated skid plate. I think the stock bumper is still required for the RPM after market bumper, so I recommend checking these out before the stock one is trashed.

First off this was my arrma kraton v4 which I had been eyeing for a while, I decided to spend the Cash and make the purchase..$600 for a rc with a bad esc or motor which cuts in and out making it hard to enjoy and control. I called and emailed for help and never got a response! I even attempted to buy a newkraton hopefully with better luck and had problem completing my order directly through horizon and once again no response! All I wanted was what I was supposed to get ..the best of the best..but nothing! Hopefully they eventually live up to the standards they claim! Very disappointed and abandoned..will update !!!

It’s a great truck. So fast on 6s even without the optional pinion gear. Amazing how well it’s built. Careful though it will get expensive if your careless and bash it to much. Things will break. That’s why it’s a hobby. I’m very happy with my purchase
