Die bugs, die!
I have had this for a few weeks now and there are some weird bugs that are dead in there! I hate bugs so dont mind me

Ineffective against no see ums and nats
Manufacturer advertised that it is effective against no see ums and nats but I've had it outdoors in the middle of a small yard for 8 weeks now with no effect. Instructions say it will eliminate them in 5 weeks and wipe out breeding stock in 8 weeks. This has not happened at all. The trap screen size appears to be too large so that even if these insects get trapped, they just fly out through the screen holes. May work on mosquitoes but we don't have a mosquito problem. All its managed to collect are a few moths and flys. Do not recommend purchasing this item.Also, replacement light bulbs haven't been available for a year now so I guess they expect you to just keep buying completely new units.

The better bug trap !!
I have several of the original bug traps, but this one was even better. I did buy it because of the included stand, but the water tray turned out to be a major feature. It's June bug season and those things quickly got trapped in the water tray, instead of going into the trap. Some were in the basket, but most didn't get through and drowned in the water. It's catching a lot of mosquitoes, too.The collection basket now has a hinged door to keep the live bugs in while the basket is being removed to dump out. I like that feature, but it does make it harder to dump them. The wild birds and local frogs love the dead bugs !!

Less mosquitos for us!
Ought this product in May and have left it plugged in since. Very easy to use, but must be near electric, which makes it hard to keep away from main areas. It definitely seems to be working. The mosquitos are not half as bad as they usually are.

wire came unhooked
I bought this and really liked it, so got 2 more right away. That was in June. Now it's August and the light bulb went out in one. Problem now is the design of the fixture. When you open it up to change the bulb, there is this wire that you are not to unhook. But part of it that the basket connects to is hanging from that wire. Needless to say, my wire came unhooked and now I cannot reconnect it. So it will not work not.Bulb replaced, but wire came unhooked in the process. So unless I can pull it out with tweezers and reconnect it.....it's junk now. I wasn't having any luck getting the other wire to connect it to.It caught tons of moths. Not sure about mosquitos.

Definitely appreciate the reduced number of bug bites
This product is great. There are certainly still mosquitoes but the ability to go outside is much better. It's a noticable difference in the number of mosquito bites. I would definitely buy again.The bag is the second time emptying the bug catcher. I just toss the screen trap in the freezer for about 20 minutes to prevent escape. Dump them in a sealable bag. And toss them in the trash. Then the trap is back in action.

Easy assembly! Been working for over a month now, we empty the basket every 3 days.
