Franklin ENC-4047 Concise Columbia Encyclopedia Bookman Card

Needs too much power and US batteries can not afford it, and ididn't use it,it stay in my drawer.

Amazing the computer remembered I bought this in 1992.. That's Amazing!!!! Yes I was working for NOAA In San Francisco... That was 30 years ago.. YES it still works... LOL...

Useful instrument in terms of the number of words and descriptions. It is very handy, but not very user friendly in terms of display. Youcannot change the size of the fonts and no guide for the users on howto efficiently use the search capability. If it didn't have these problems I would give it a five star evaluation.

When I put the new Bookman Franklin ENC-4047 Concise Columbia Encyclopedia Card into my Franklin unit, nothing at all happened.I have several other cards, and this is the only one that does not work. I am very disappointed, and don't know why it would not function. This is the first time ever that an item ordered from Amazon did not meet my expectations.

I purchased this item for my husband who loves his Franklin speller. This card now enables him to spend hours searching and learning new and wonderful things. The only disadvantage is when the spelling card is removed, the memory of all the words he has researched and saved goes with it and he has to start over when replacing the speller after using the encyclopedia. That is a model defect not a Bookmam encyclopedia problem. He loves it!

Didn't work from the day I got it. Don't even give it a try. The Franklin Encyclopedia it is made for however is wonderful except this feature doesn't work. I've had mine for years and it only just finally needs to be replaced after more than 7 years.
