This is so lovely
My kit arrived today, a day early, and I was very excited to try it out. I put it together with just a small bit of hoopla: The air hose came with a white plastic piece on it and I could not for the life of me figure out where it went. I went to the Tickled Pink website for the detailed instructions as the notice in the package instructed me. It was the airbrush holder. It attaches to the left side of the machine. Beyond that, you don't really need any instructions for 'assembly', but detailed instructions are on their website. I ordered mine from Amazon due to my great experience with Amazon, the fact that I had a gift card and the Ticked Pink website literally gives me headaches --not due to structure, but due to the colors and fonts. It is very hard to stare at for very long.I had read in an earlier review that the reviewer had used 12 drops of the lighter color and 4 drops of the medium color. Unless you have lovely porcelain skin or beautiful darker skin, most of us are medium beiges. Therefore, I just followed her lead so I would not have too much of an adjustment, if any, to make.I put some of the sample moisturizer in the bowl, set the machine to low, and proceeded. It did not seem to be working, so I gave up on the moisturizer, used some from on my shelf, and started on my makeup with the 12 and 4 drops of makeup. I did not feel anything on my face and I was sure the machine was a dud. After some frustration, adjusting the machine, turning it off and on (patience is not one of my strong points), I used it a little on my inner forearm. I was delighted to learn that the problem was, well, me.I turned back to my face and applied the makeup. The color was a nice match. I was a little uncoordinated with the machine, but it did not matter at all. The 12 and 4 drops was way too much makeup for me, but I just sprayed until it was gone. The results of doing this were that the makeup itself did not look so great. I preferred my mineral makeup to what I was seeing. Once again, the problem was me. The makeup has to dry, so using too much at once makes it take longer to dry. The makeup has completely dried, and even though I used more than I should have without letting the makeup dry before applying more, it is perfection. It seems like once you find your color match, it would be hard to go wrong here.I knew I wanted some blush, and the Tickled Pink makeup is just so expensive. I also didn't see any safe colors for me without trying out a sample. Instead, I picked up a Belloccio blush (here on Amazon) in Charming Lily. It seemed to be a safe bet and it was! It is so beautiful applied. Not too dark or garish and the right tone for me. Lovely. It was $9.50 plus shipping and still way cheaper than the Tickled Pink. It is 5.8 ounces and 4 drops was too much. It will last a very long time. They also have a huge selection of airbrush makeup as well. Don't put cheap makeup, or makeup that isn't water based in the machine or it will ruin it. Belloccio makes an airbrush kit for professionals so they aren't some random company pushing product. What I like: The machine is small, so it does not take up much space. The air hose is long, giving you a lot of room for movement. The results are the best I have ever seen in my makeup. I am a huge fan of airbrushing my makeup on now. I can't see ever going back. I just keep looking in the mirror in different lights. It really is beautiful. I didn't even try to make it beautiful, I just wanted to learn and practice, and it just turned out flawless. The application seems to be somewhat idiot proof. The price is so reasonable if you have shopped around as I have. I have also looked around at the various water based makeups. This makeup has so many ingredients that are good for your skin. Some of the other ones tell you they have good stuff in them, but do not actually tell you what this good stuff is as Tickled Pink does. What I don't like: The unit does not come with a case. I travel for business and really want to take this along. How can I go back to regular makeup, mineral or otherwise? I will look at a camera cases to see if I can find something. Also, since the unit does not come with a case, there is no place to put the little wrench and plastic eyedropper, and the cord that is so long -- it just drapes on the counter. The makeup is very expensive.I would definitely recommend airbrushing your makeup and this machine to anyone now. The machine is just a delivery device, but you want one with different speeds, like this one, and one that is not a hunk of junk. This one is a nice little unit, uncomplicated with the best price I have seen on one of these. The makeup that comes with the machine is nice, and just looks so lovely applied. I love this, I do not even want to wash it off tonight!...and here is a shout-out to Hannah D: No, you do not need powder. I have always used a finishing powder with my makeup as it finishes the job. You do not need powder with this at all. A blush just adds perfection to this, and I look washed out without one, so I will always use a blush even with this. Check the Tinkled Pink and Belloccio websites to see if there is something to replace your bronzer. I am sure that there is, since both companies sell the airbrush tanner as well.

Perfect Airbrush Makeup
After doing a lot of research I had decided to purchase this machine based on so many positive reviews of the machine and the customer service. I received my kit last night and couldn't wait to tear into the box and start using it. I had spent the last several days watching youtube videos on how to apply airbrush makeup. It seemed pretty straightforward. The packaging was very nice and seemed to protect the compressor and airbrush wand well. It took me less than 2 minutes to have it set up for operation. Easy! Then I started in. I first applied the moisturizer that came with my kit. So easy to apply, and makes your skin feel refreshed and very, very soft! Not heavy at all. I let that dry by using the wand to blow air on my face without pulling back on the trigger. Then I was ready to apply my foundation. I was really nervous about finding the correct shade for me and a little concerned about mixing the right color. To my very happy surprise, the miacchiato color matched my skin tone perfectly. No mixing required! I started with 6 drops. I started applying, using the wand between 5 to 6 inches from my face in small circles. When I finished I had perfect foundation. I ended up using around 14 drops of foundation. Then I then applied blush. Applied bronzer below my cheek bones, jawline, under chin, and sides of nose to contour the face. Then applied the eyeshadow. I did go back and use the blush color for lip color (BTW: works great!) finished with a little pearl shimmer to highlight a few areas then went all over my face with the waterproof sealer. I am so happy with the results. It took me about 10 minutes my first time and I could not stop looking at my self in the mirror.Pros:Easy application and blending. No more makeup lines! How the makeup feels on your face, so light and refreshing, like you are wearing no makeup at all!Moisturizer is perfect. Leaves skin feeling soft and refreshed.Ease of blending blush, bronzer, and highlightsClean up is a breezePrice was rightCons:I can't think of any!I have read some reviews about the cost of the makeup. I personally do not think it is that bad. I can see my .5 oz bottles lasting awhile. Compared to regular foundation bottles that are anywhere between $6-$20 and you use so much more! I will definitely recommend Tinkled Pink to my friends and will be a return customer several times over!
