does what it says
I have a radio fitted in a Morgan under the dash at the back of the gearbox tunnel, its impossible to adjust whilst driving so this works perfectly

Doesn’t work at all
I have tried 4 of these now, 2 with an Alpine UTE-204, and two with an Alpine ILX 705D. Both claim to be remote ready, and this is the compatible device. There are no signs of life even after changing batteries. Utter waste of time. Even sent it to Alpine’s support to check.

First RC was defective, Second one works... so far
Received my controller and it was totally defective. I would have expected a premium brand such as Alpine to have some decent quality control in place. Item was returned with no problems, thanks to Amazon, and a new unit despatched promptly. This one works so far...

Intermittant operation
Initially worked but then didn't. Thought the battery was low so fitted a new one, this didn't cure the problem. Opened it up and put a meter across the transmitter LED. Voltage was measured when key pressed so that proved data was being sent. Reassembled it and it still didn't work, then suddenly it all starting working. The next day it didn't work so don't know if there is a connection problem or there is something wrong with the head unit. Was tempted to see how far I could throw it but haven't so far. Really need to buy another to see if they are all crap!

Unreliable
Bought an Alpine radio specifically to use with a remote control within a motorcaravan. First remote was dead on arrival and second failed within a year after minimal use. Alpine need to sort out the quality of this item.

I'm using it with the UTE-204DAB and it does the job, but the functions are really limited; it would be nice to have more controls like for settings to go over there without needing to interact with the stereo. The quality of buttons and range are good. Battery included did work only during some months but it's easy to replace.

Ich habe in unserem Camper das Alpine Halo 11 verbaut und wollte zum Bedienen nicht immer nach vorne laufen. Daher habe ich diese Fernbedienung gekauft und sie bietet mir alle Möglichkeiten, die ich benötige. Man sollte allerdings beachten, dass die Fernbedienung unter Umständen das Autoradio nicht ausschalten kann, da im Normalfall das Radio durch ein Steuersignal vom KfZ geschaltet wird. Bei meinem Halo, geschaltet durch D+ vom Autoradio oder externen Wahlschalter, ist die Ein- Aus- Taste somit ohne Funktion
