La Ciudad Sumergida BD 1965 The City Under the Sea (War-Gods of the Deep) [Blu-ray]

This is a review of the Spanish blu-ray 'La Cuidad Sumergida'.It's a region A/B/C disc with English & Spanish language options. The subtitles are optional, not forced. The transfer has realistic colour, reasonable contrast and good sound.This is an adventure film that owes more to Jules Verne than the Edgar Allan Poe poem 'City in the Sea' it claims to be based on. Not even the presence of Vincent Price can convince the viewer otherwise. In the UK it was released as 'City under the Sea' and in the US as 'War Gods of the Deep'.It's like a Hammer horror without the horror, or a Doug McClure film without Doug McClure. But if you've enjoyed 'Warlords of Atlantis' or 'The Land that Time Forgot' or 'At the Earth's Core', you'll probably like this, too. I did.

So wonderful to be able to obtain this film. Another one of those long lost titles that sadly disappeared from the DVD shelves...what more do you want, a underwater city, an erupting underwater volcano, Vincent price, and a lovable chicken. Good cast including a very young Tab Hunter...This is region 2 and plays automatically in English..it is high picture quality and very well packaged...buy and enjoy...worth every penny...😀
