thomas tv game purchased at amazon.com
When I purchased the Thomas video game for the TV, I purchased it for my grandson. Unfortunately it did not work as well as stated. Most of the buttons stick and makes it very hard to play. I was very disappointed in this product. I would not recommend anyone buy anything used from this site. They say it works great but as I found out, Not so much. If you cant buy it new then your best bet is to buy it where you can see touch and play before buying.

it's ok.....
My 2.5 yr old loves thomas, he has great hand eye coordination, so i thought we would try this game, even if his 4.5 yr old sister had to help. Ok so the game graphics are definately rough, and so are the voices. Both kids were very frustrated along with me on the lack of control in turning thomas down different tracks. as you are "driving" thomas a small screen in the corner shows a map with blinking lights of where you need to go next (along with an arrow) but getting thomas to turn is not easy. other than that it cute, and a pretty easy concept for the game. and well it's thomas!! so my son is happy.

nice, affordable alternative to expensive leapster/v.smile
The games included in this device appear to be the same or very similar to the thomas the tank engine leapster game, minus the huge price tag (~$80 for leapster, ~$25 for game, plus more for ac charger). The graphics are coarse and primitive, but that is the case with the leapster and v.tech games as well. This tv game runs off of 4 AA batteries, so you might want to get rechargeable ones. Also, if you have a portable or in-car tv, you can hook this game system up to it so your child can play it in the car like a leapster, although it may require buying a cheap RCA adapter from radio shack or walmart or somewhere. The games are a little difficult for younger children (3 to 4), and our little one did get a little frustrated at first trying to make turns. But you can pretty much just drive the train randomly around and still play the game.Right now there are really no console games (wii, playstation, xbox) out there for 3-4 year olds. The leapster/v.smile systems cost hundreds of dollars when you add it up, and are expensive and fragile. So compared to that, this game system is a good buy, and our little one loves it. And hey, there's no lead paint. Bonus.

Not worth it
This toy does not work well at all. I guess its because this toy was second hand and despite that my son wanted this toy so badly.
