Cold compresses a MUST with my painful Torn rotator cuff muscle; thank goodness after 3 different types that were cheap but pricey, couldn’t get them on one armed and very stiff or scratchy part that goes in freezer , THIS IS A FIVE STAR WINNER! Easy to adjust , EXTREMELY WELL MADE , high quality and I can have the sleeve on and buckled and walk around or lie down to get my inflammation down with icing. I’m petite. - and I love the weight, comfortable and sturdiness! QUALITY COUNTS! . It sinks right into the shoulder and follows shoulder anatomy. Can fit big male just as well. Practically, goes in easily and amazing quality! Medical equipment/ medical needs durability.

This thing has been a lifesaver for me while my shoulder/neck has been acting up. Fits great and with plenty of room and I’m in a large body. So appreciative that this allowed me to keep showing up for work with the ice therapy I needed.

I bought this after a rotator cuff injury, hoping it would act as a brace. It does not act as an immobilizer at all because it doesn’t restrict arm movement, but it does keep the heat/ice pack in place. The ice/heat pack is removable to store in the freezer or heat up in the microwave - just never heat it directly after removing it from the freezer or they say it will be damaged and no longer leak proof. If using it for heat keep it stored at room temperature and use 30 second increments in the microwave till it’s as hot as you need. I already have a similarly sized cold gel pack that will fit in the “pocket” of this, so I am able to have both heat & cold available at all times though I find heat works better for me than cold as pain relief for muscles & tendons etc other than immediately after an injury. There is an extension strip with hook & loop style fastening included so it will fit a wide variety of differently sized/shaped people but being female, just like with car seat belts that are designed for men, it is a bit awkward to secure it well AND comfortably. The listing says it can be used under clothing (though unless you wear a very loose and dark colored shirt/top it will be obvious) or on top of it. The ice/heat pack itself is a bit more of a “T” shape than just the usual rectangle (see the picture) so it will work better and drape a bit when applied to the shoulder area. It is almost 10 inches tall, with the top being 9 inches wide and the bottom 7 inches wide. The ice/heat pack fits inside the strapping pocket between an inner layer of soft nylon/polyester (mine was not mesh it was solid fabric) that helps protect your skin from possible burns or frost damage, and the outer neoprene layer. The shoulder “pocket” that holds the ice/heat gel pack is curved to fit a shoulder. It is roughly 11 inches top to bottom, and will fit any arm width between 11 inches, and using the extension strap fits up to 25-26 inches. The length over the injured shoulder to under the other arm wrapping can be small enough to fit a child - it’s 14.5 inches between the two plastic buckle mechanisms to hold the chest strap, and all the way up to 57 inches if you use the arm extension strip. The description says there are two extension straps, but other than the removable but required chest strap itself there was only one actual extension strap in the box I received. There is also a “Y” shaped adapter strap attached so you can shorten the “height” of the treated area, though that bunches up the ice/heat pack which doesn’t seem as effective nor as comfortable. It took me some practice and getting used to, in order to fix it in place without help from someone else, but it's worth it to be able to continue with most aspects of daily living while having a heat therapy. (In fact I’m wearing it while typing this review.) It isn't as effective or as long lasting as those at my physical therapists office, but it's also no where near as expensive as theirs to purchase and can be used at a moments notice 24/7 instead of having to wait for the next appointment.

I am pretty injury prone in different areas and after recently injuring my shoulder in a hang. Having purchased a lot of braces on the past, I am very skeptical. I am a smaller frame and thin build, and this brace fits extremely well. There is an extra strap that looks like it is for larger people as well, but can’t speak to that. Saw reviews and pics where it looked loose and people had said it was unsupportive, but that is definitely not the case. Very secure, able to be modified. A second person might help since I almost pulled out my other arm trying to get it in place, haha. Straps are solid, Velcro is decent quality and in the right spots. I’ve pack iso a good size and holds as well as any gel pack. Supportive with or without it in place, which I had been concerned about. I don’t review much, but this was me was worth letting everyone know about. If you are on the fence, go for it.

Out of the ones I've tried so far this is definitely the best. It may not work well for the posterior regions of the shoulder especially as you approach the spine, nor does it ice the pectoral muscle/ clavicular area well. The ice pack is mostly limited to the lateral and Superior shoulder, which is absolutely perfect for my purposes. The ice pack itself stays flexible it fits in the sleeve properly, it lays flat. It stays cold a long time. The brace actually holds it in place very nicely without being uncomfortable. In the beginning of icing I usually wish the inner liner was a little bit thicker but as the pack starts to warm up I kind of like the ability to take a little washcloth that I shove in there out.

I wanted a brace and this was the only one that would fit me as I’m 54 inches chest 3xl. This brace has an extenuation strap.I did not need the ice pack but having it included is a added bonus. The ice pack is very high quality and stays cold longer than i think it should. The brace works very well and is made well i have been warning the brace for 3 days and it is really starting to make a difference especially with the pain. I recommend this product because I’m a very large man and it works and has not broken and is easy to fit and ware. I have only had to play with the adjusting straps 3 Times to find that sweet spot.
