This works
Words cannot effectively express my un dying love for this product. I live in southern Texas and as such am swarmed daily by black tiger Mosquitos. I hate those motherfers. With this racket I simply go outside at witching hour and kill kill kill! I've probably killed over a thousand of them in the past week it takes a little time to kill them all but I can now finally go out in my ward. Thank the gods for this electric tennis racket!

DO NOT BUY!
I am a frequent Amazon shopper and this is perhaps one of the couple of reviews i have written so far. I only write reviews when i dislike the product to a great extent. This is by far the worse product by far, nevertheless it is described as whatever....DO NOT BUY! Its not worth it. You can buy a better one from some Chinese store for $6.Let me go in detail, at first, this racket does not kill the fruit flies. I hit one fly after numerous attempts. 2) i hit a house fly but it got up and started flying again. I thought probably the rechargeable battery is weak, so i recharged it, yet the problem remain...i am going to return the product and get something from Chinese store for $6. This is not worth it.Amazon is also not publishing the reviews when they realize its going to hurt the seller and the product. I am going to give them a try one more time after that i am going to escalate this matter. So, Amazon, please publish this product review as is. if you want you can delete this last paragraph.thanks

VENGEANCE IS MINE---FINALLY
I am generally a kind, gentle person except when it comes to MOSQUITOES. Our house backs up to "forever wild" which includes a stream when it's been raining and a swamp when it's dry, so we have quite the problem. Trying to get from the garage to the door was like running a gauntlet. Looking out the front door or the patio door one could see literally swarms. So you were always letting a few in every time one of us entered or exited. In addition, the little blood-suckers would come in on or with the dogs.I have always been a bad "swatter" not to mention the mess it makes on your walls. Enter the Electrocutioner. I got one on a trip to the UK a few years ago which broke when my sister tried to use it as a swatter. I found another one in Canada last year. I bought 2 more through Amazon so I could have one near the door, one in the TV room, and 1 upstairs. These things are awesome. You can get the mosquitoes on the fly, or while they are on a surface (as long as the surface isn't human or animal---I've accidentally touched the wires when it's been "on" and gotten a zap). Neat, no dead bodies, no bloody rolled up newsprint, no splats on the wall.

Cheaply Made--Overpriced--Amazon "Sponsored"
This racket is cheaply made. It broke after 5 months use...the metal "strings" all fell out. Also, Another significant problem was that the battery cover kept sliding off during use and the. The batteries would come flying out mid swing. The battery cooler should be snap on instead of slide on. The product does do the job of zapping bugs dead, but I also find the racquet head size should be a little bit bigger....maybe +1 inch wider, which would make it easier to get the fast ones. I see that Amazon features this one at the top of the listing because it is a "sponsored" product...Amazon is getting paid for having this unit listed at the top. That reason would be why this unit is also overpriced at $18-$19. There are others that you get 2 for the same price. The replacement that I purchased was $15-$16 and "heavy-duty". It's way better, but buried at the bottom of the listings.

Waste of money. Just shoo them away with your hands!
I was initially enthusiastic about this device. It costs more than many of the offerings in this category, and I thought that would translate to better functionality. The higher electrical potential was a significant draw. It appears to be well made and durable, was packaged very safely and arrived promptly. Setup was simple and straightforward, using AA batteries. Functionally, it's a bust. I was able to verify electrical potential between the wires, but the effectiveness against insects is somewhat less than a $.25 fly swatter. Gnats pass through the wires unmolested, as the distance between the wires renders it ineffective for insects of that size. Likewise mosquitoes. Deer flies to seem to be somewhat intimidated, but it only stuns them, and there is no *POP* as advertised. My advice is to seek elsewhere. This was not a good purchase, and I will be returning it. Sadly, the lowest rating I can give is one star.

Piece of Junk!
Awful. It is basically useless. We used a different one while in Maine and it worked great. It hit the bugs and killed them instantly. This one does neither. The design of this swatter allows for small bugs like black flies, and no-see-ums to fly right between the bars. And even if it does come in contact, it just stuns the bug. I have had one bug die instantly with this. Every other time, the bug would fall to the ground and move around until I laid the swatter down on top of it and zapped it 4-5 times. And by doing this you are also zapping whatever surface the bug is on, be it a carpet or table. I tried to return it but unfortunately I waited too long. I bought this one while in Maine using the other one, different brand and design. What a waste of $22. Been getting a lot of junk from Amazon lately, very disappointed.

you're going to love this thing, while it lasts
My family thought I was an idiot for buying this...until they actually needed to try it out. No one grabs the old fly swatter anymore as they go out of their way to get the Zapper. That pesky fly walking back and forth across your tv set? Everyone hates it but the spouse will freak if you slam a swatter into his LCD/LED/Quartz/whatever big screen tv, so you try and be gentle and it flies away at the speed of light only to reappear on the screen again the moment you sit down. Just hold this little baby in the air above the fly and when it tries to get away it actually flies right into the Zapper, small bright flash of blue with the satisfying sound of the zap. LOVE this thingUpdate. It was great while it worked. 10 weeks in it just died and wouldn't work. Bummer

Awesome
I have to keep an eye on my Executioner. Everybody wants it. It work great. It only stuns the bigger horseflies. I just need it for mosquitoes.
