Took a Few Days To Appreciate
When I first tried them on I was disappointed because they weren't very snug at all. I tried them on below and on top of regular cotton socks and they felt like a pair of snug fitting cotton socks and nothing more. I figured since I spent money on them and my feet are gonna hurt anyway I'll give them a week. Here's what I've found and a little history. I'm 53, 5'10,200#, walk an average of 15k steps at work, on and off a forklift all day, lift heavy objects often, average 8 1/2 hour work day, wear good fitting alloy toed work shoes and have suffered sporadically with plantar fasciitis for over a decade until the last few months where it hasn't subsided this time. Until recently I also worked every Saturday at a toy store, averaging 20k steps in a 5 hour shift, lots of stair climbing as well as walking. I stepped back from the every Saturday because my feet would be killing me by Monday afternoon and I'd barely make it through the week vs only working 5 days making it until Thursday without the excruciating pain . I'd been using ice every evening because heat made them hurt worse. I added massaging with a baseball and they seemed to help after I cut back on Saturday shifts. I tried every Dr famous shoe insert to no avail because in the past a new set of insoles fixed the problem within a couple of days. I tried computation sleeves for a few weeks and that seemed to be helping the first couple of weeks but if I didn't put them on just right (not easy to do at oh dark thirty in the morning) I'd spend time during the day trying to get them right while doing a hectic schedule. I got some Walk Fit insoles and man do those things hurt while acclimating but they got the pain level down to where I'm not limping all day Friday and have an adventure in pain after being off my feet for a little while during the day. I think going from sitting to standing was by far the worst pain until walking at least a few dozen steps. The first day with these and no Walk Fits were very very painful so I tossed the insoles in my shoes at lunch and that made a difference having both the ComppressionZ and insoles. At night I did my ice,NSAID, massage therapy as normal. Tuesday my heel only hurt a little when I first got up and my feet lasted until about 6 hours into my shift before the pain got real. Wednesday was about the same but not quite a unbearable when I first stood back up after lunch. Thursday was pain free when I awoke, pain free all morning, minor pain when I got up after lunch and only moderate pain at the end of the work day, and slightly more when I got home from work and first started walking. Friday was almost pain free for most of the day, only mid minor pain when first standing after work and getting home. I actually went for a bicycle ride last evening for the first time in months because it didn't hurt too much to walk to where my bike is.In researching these socks I found other ways to tell where the culprit is besides the obvious age, weight things that are just what they are so I've added Achilles stretches where I sit in a chair and turn my feet in and out as far as possible while they're flat on the floor. This not only is helping with the tight tendons but my shin muscles , outer calves and lower calves are also getting more limber.I wear them under regular cotton socks as I found athletic support socks put too much compression on the top of my feet as I'm using both feet bent upwards for long periods while driving a forklift, causing the tops of my feet to go numb. I just tossed them in a "lacy things" bag to wash them and they dried overnight. I wear them from when I get out of the shower until bed time. I fell asleep with them on Thursday night and woke up during the night with my feet killing me at the top and bottom of the socks. If you're looking for a quick miracle cure for plantar fasciitis this isn't the magic pill. If you're looking for something to take your home therapy to the next level, as these along with stretches, ice(and/or heat) NSAIDs and massage so that as your body heals from the therapy, your feet, ankles and Achilles tendons get good support throughout the day so it won't undo the healing every day. Though not pain free totally, my feet have felt better this week than they have I months, I'm not so emotionally tired from fighting pain every day and finally am looking forward to the day when I'm pain free from plantar fasciitis again and can get back to walking around the neighborhood in the evening, fishing and all the other things that I've stopped doing because of foot pains.

World peace starts with your feet
Never have I ever felt better than when I 1st walked in these compression slips.Like little baby angels were kissing my feet with every step. I didn't know what life was until that moment and now I refuse to ever look back.If you ever see me in public without these puppies on my dogs, I am most likely in a hostage situation and was kidnapped in a flash before I had the chance to put these on.Thank you for changing my life.

Light compression- but may be the best choice for some people!
Most reviews were really good, but I wasn't completely happy with these and here's why: very thin material and not much compression. I have a slender female foot but a size 9.5 so I bought the Large size, so I think I sized it right, but they didn't really compress. I'm going to try another brand. (also want to mention that I'm an RN, so I've seen & felt a few different compression garments over the years, can recognize a difference in materials and compression strength)5/29/15 update: been thinking about these hose further and have some additional feedback to offer those that are considering this purchase. They may actually be very well suited for certain people and here's why: Very tight compression materials are very hard to put on (hurtful to hands and back for the elderly OR just any less flexible person). I know this from being a nurse and helping patients put on their compression hose and socks! So...if you choose to buy a much tighter material, you may have to wrestle to put them on. So there is a need for softer compression types, like this one. Not a perfect world, you'd get less compression than you might like- but at least you can get them on easily! Something to consider! But also be aware of THIS: if this hose or any other ones leave a deep depression on your skin at the top or bottom band, they are not good for you. You have to expect somewhat of a imprint of course, and you'll see more of that if you have edema- but if its really binding at either end (you'll know this because the imprint will last for as long as an hour or more when you take them off!), then they are COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE and put you at a risk for a clot.I know I've said alot but I'll summarize my feedback this way: if you are not very flexible for putting on hose, or have edema, or fat feet/legs (sorry for bluntness!) first off: buy UP a size. And you may indeed want to consider purchasing THIS softer brand of compression hose. But don't leave them on all the time: my suggestion is to take them off after two hours maximum (or after exercising) and reapply again later if you wish. Its the very top band (at calf) and the very bottom band (near toes) where problems arise if the compression item doesn't fit well or is to tight- so do be sure to not leave them on all the time & to check out how your skin looks when you take them off! I hope all this was helpful with your purchasing decision!

The best i have found yet.
These are way above average. I have put them through a testing period and they still keep their shape and hold. They have a longer foot-bed than most toe-less socks, still not long enough for my size 9 female feet. They are the best of 20 other brands i have tried. I recommend these for serious foot swelling.

Helped me through plantar twice!
Great for sleeping to help heal plantar. They can be tight and i occasionally had to remove them in the middle of the night. I bought a set to sleep, and got another set for exercising. I hand washed and got about 10 months of 4-5 times a week use before one tore on me. I feel like they worked and lasted long enough given the price.

Good quality and good value.
These are well made and seem to be of good quality. The price is attractive compared to other compression clothing items. I found them good to wear in bed so that my Plantar F and ankle were gently compressed while I slept. I did not find it useful to wear them during the day because they did not work comfortably with sports socks. In my view, not an essential for treating PF, but helped a bit.

Good quality but not as effective as taping for Plantar Fasciitis.
Physio has twice taped my foot to support the plantar fasciitis pain I've had for a year. It's a bit messy having tape but was amazingly supportive. I hoped the socks would be a good substitute for taping and much easier to do myself and to keep clean. The med fit was good for my size 6 feet but it was a wee bit tight around the ankle, leaving a mark. Foot doesn't feel any effective compression either (hence the three stars). I will wear today to see if it improves but may have to return to messy taping. As a substitute for the taping it hasn't worked unfortunately.
