The unit does have volume control, but nothing happens when you attempt to adjust volume when playing a dvd. I have my unit integrated such that a long RCA jack can be fed into the aux port via a 2 into 1 adapter. I have to turn my radio up to high volume levels to hear. All video and audio input and output are through RCA cables, which are large connectors and connected to wires which are bundled and intended to be hidden in the overhead (presumably) of the car. In order to use the input cables as well you'd have to route a total of 6 long rca cables behind the overhead panel to somewhere. There is no HDMI with my unit. Maybe it's an optional extra and I haven't looked into getting the additional part, but when I bought it I had expected the HDMI capability and it does not have it.Overall, this thing is very cheaply made. I got into it a little in an attempt to adapt the lights to my car's dome light. So far it works ok, but a little shock (tapping it with my fingers) will cause a menu to breifly appear while watching a DVD.In the end, I have it installed and I managed to pack all the useless (I have not plans for the input) volume of cables into my overhead and my boy's watched one movie which they were able to hear and see....time will tell how well this cheap chuck of plastics electronic components will perform over time. I think it will have a major problem soon.I bought this thing because it seemed to be of higher resolution, larger screen and a little more expensive. XO seemed to be a larger manufacturer of car based video systems and I didn't see many known named brand (Samsung, Sony etc) for this application. Because of this, I would think they'd be interested in doing things right and have quality in their workmanship and thought more about how people need to implement their system. There is no way a major electronics manufacturer would put their name on something of this mechanical and aesthetic quality.UPDATE: After a few weeks of use, I ripped some movies to NTSC format (which took some trial an error to figure out since I was unable to find anywhere either the suggested movie resolution or the screen resolution for this item) and stuck them on a memory stick. Low and behold, it doesn't work! The movie is recognized as spools up, but after a few minutes of play they begin to skip and lose synchronization with video and audio. (I did verify that I can play these movies on my computer through the USB in a similar fashion and the fault is not the memory stick). The DVD player continues to work and I've found that certain DVDs do master their audio to higher levels and I can hear some better than others. So I drop them another star in my rating after the USB functionality fail.This unit does one thing, and it does it ok. It plays DVDs on a relatively large, decent screen and has the functionality of any basic DVD player. Be cautious tho, they warn you to shut if off before you turn your car off, or damage could occur. This I've found in practice to be a very difficult thing to do. When the trip is over you pull in and turn off the car. YOu have to remind or remember (coordinate somehow with the back seat consistently) that it should be turned off before we land....this usually isn't happening..so I expect the DVD player to fail soon....I'm very unhappy with this product.

Nice product for the money. My only issue was the packing. Very pour, very little packing material used. I guess that's what you get with free shipping.

Price was great, picture is ok but you must be directly in front of tv to be able to see image correctly.

Sound quality is terrible.. paid to have installed. I'm currently looking to replace.

HDMI is on the screen bottom so when you flip it down it point down at the bottom of the screen. Would have perfered to have the connection with the other AV connections

So far it's good light weight and looks great but the dome lights do not connect to dome light car but some lights switch is okay

Excellent and easy to install it

Didnt work out of the box. Real weak fm volume and ir headphones worked one day. Went to clients home 200 kilometer travel and removed unit and installed another brand product as client was going on holiday with their new grand caravan. Now have unit back and complete back in box. This install was done for a local chrysler dealership.

Wasn't as specified, could of been better made.
