Right on!
I bought this mount for atatching a g2x to a barrell mounted rail. I was concerned about heat getting to the batteries with an aluminum mount. The polymer mount has held up great to the heat with little heat trasnsfer to the light. After 500+ rds of 7.62x39 in rapid fire drills the mount is holding firm. No melt, no sag. Viking Tactics got this one right. Great product! Will likely buy another for my wasr.

Works great for a surefire g2
I put this on my S&W M&P15x. It fit the rails nicely with no play once tightened down. This mount is plastic, but very tough. I had to take out the insert to fit the Surefire G2 which took more effort than I had expected. But still a 1 minute job. I would buy this again, but I do not see this mount ever breaking.

Excellent Light Mount
Inexpensive, light weight, and solid. Wish I had not bought my expensive and heavy metal mounts first. Mounted it onto my wife's AR15 with standard A2 hand guards using a section of $6.95 Magpul polymer rail. Had to shave the rail a bit on the corners to get it to sit solidly in the groove in the top hand guard, but easy cheesy install overall. Read my blog post for more details. [...]

Great Mount
Was skepitical about this mount because it was polymer. But bought it anyway due to prior use of Troy/Viking products. Mount arrived in 2 days. Ordered it as a package with Streamlight. Installed mount on my wife's LWRC PDW 8in AR ($3000 weapon). Works great and put light right where she could operate it using a Magpul AFG. I was so impressed with mount and light I ordered 2 more. Only slight con is that mount doesn't tighten all the way up on light. Two wraps of black electrical tape fixed that... I woudld highly recomend ths mount and light no matter what your budget is. When it comes to my weapons, I do not sacrife quaility for price.

Cost-effective and durable.
Got this yesterday to mount a Streamlight 88850 Polytac LED Flashlight with Lithium Batteries, Black to my AR-15 rifle. The mount is of polymer construction and utilizes Allen screws to secure it to the rifle rail (in my case a Daniel Defense Omega X rail) and to clamp the light. The mount comes with a shim for lights around 0.8" diameter. If your light is around 1" diameter, it is not needed.Pros:-Durable-Lightweight-Very cheap. Originally, I was looking to buy a VLTOR lever mount, but those clock in at $90.Cons:-Proper fitting is to be desired. If you're anywhere slightly below the 1.0" mark, you may need a layer of tape for a tight fit. Otherwise, the light will slide back and forth.-No QD... this is only bothersome if you need to change batteries in the light. On my model, you need to twist of the tail cap to change the batts. However, this is almost impossible when mounted on the rifle. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on taking this out into the field where you may not have the tools required to remove the light.-No captive screws. Very easy to lose parts.Debating if I should return it or not based on the last con. Will decide sometime this week. But for the cost, you get something durable, but something that lacks features of more expensive models (QD). 4/5 stars.EDIT: Returned it in exchange for Elzetta 0.7" to 1.1" Offset Flashlight Mount for Mil Std 1913 Picatinny Rails . The inability to remove it without tools ended up being a dealbreaker. Plus it did not fit my light correctly.

Perfect Fit And Ergonomics
Paired this with thehttp://www.amazon.com/MAGLITE-XL50-S3016-LED-Flashlight-Black/dp/B004JJQ3UY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346497399&sr=8-1&keywords=maglite+xl50 - Maglite XL50Plenty of light, and the flashing mode on the light would be beneficial when trying to disorient your opponent. :D The mount fits very snug and the position it puts my light is perfect. I have a vertical magpul forgrip, and mounted this with the light downwards, allows me to grip the foregrip and turn my light on with minimal movement of my thumb. Very happy with this product. It is plastic(was expecting metal), but it's very sturdy and doesn't give a look of plastic. So all is well! Don't hesitate to buy this!

It is the only mount I currently would use for handhelds.
I strongly recommend this mount, lightweight but very constructed, Work as intended, no fuss, insert not used, best bang for the buck.
