Will this fit a Taurus Model 85?

It depends on the taurus 85, the old taurus revolvers that were full j frame clones should be able to get it to work, the newer models shouldn't be able to without some work.

will this grip fit a s&w model 40 (hammerless 38 cal. with a grip safety)?

Standard J-frame grips do not fit the model 40. The internal contours at the top of the grip are different. I did get standard J-frame wood grips to fit a model 40 by sanding the rounded part on the top inside of the grip to fit. Whether this particular grip will fit a model 40, I can't say, but if it's designed for a standard J-frame I would doubt it..

Do they make this for a Rossi .357

It's good that they fit your Rossi, Roger, but you should know that caliber has nothing to do with grip fit. That's determined by frame size. For example, S&W makes three frame sizes ranging from small (J) to BIG (N), and all can be had in .357/.38 Spl. chambrering.
