Healthy Grain, Good Fiber Content
Rye berries were clean and well packaged. Good flavor. I don’t cook them all the way to bursting point because I like them chewy. After they have cooled down I refrigerate them and use for breakfast with yogurt and fruit, in salads and as a base for vegetarian dishes. They are a good substitute for brown rice and similar grains. A serving also has a fair amount of fiber.

Always looking for variety of less common grains in their whole form.
Really love eating unusual grains in their whole, unmilled form. These make great breakfast recipes instead of oatmeal and wonderful addition to salad and stir fried vegetable recipes and soup.

So delicious...!
I'm new to the bread baking world and am learning about all the different types of flour, grains, and seeds that go into the process...these rye berries are so cool and are great for my bread baking experiments...now if I can only master the nuances of bread baking, I'd be thrilled!

Good product, labeles need some work.
The plasic bag/packet looks professional; however, the front and back label look like they were printed on an inkjet printer with the ink running out. Some of the print was light. There was nutritional info and a receipe for a casserole on the back label but no general instructions for the rye berries only. I had to look that up. The package lists an expiration date of two years. The taste and texture of the cooked rye berries is very good.

Growing very well in my garden!
These were the first seeds to sprout in my fall winter garden and I am very happy to be using them for the first time for nitrogen management in the soil. The seeds are coming up very well in the rows I planted them in and there doesn't seem to be any problems with germination rate. I would definitely buy again.

Almost a pound, in an unsealed bag.
I ordered a pound to see if I want to start using rye in my bread recipes. It says that it’s a pound—but my scales all come up one ounce shy of that. Sealed bags would also be a plus. 5 stars for the product. Minus 1 star for being an ounce short. Minus 1 for star sending in an unsealed package.

You get what you order, which is nice.
Each package is about 5"tall, 4" wide and 2' deep. But it's sold by weight (1lb), not size. I have never ordered Rye Berries before, but these look fine. They have an expiration date a little over a year from now. And they came in the mail faster than the expected shipping window. Very pleased.
