Quality of light is very nice. The sock portion which goes around the reflector of a light is too small and will need a good deal of stretching.

This is a good light modifier, but my low rating comes from the fact that I was sent the old version (which uses velcro through the front screen, and that leaks light in addition to not being practical at all) instead of the Softlighter II mentioned in the description. It is usable of course and way too much of a hassle to package and send it back for refund. Please beware when buying this model from a third party through Amazon. Better make sure you are going to get what you paid for.

photek softlighter is a very nice diffusing umbrella. Iam shooting my portraits in my front bedroom of my apartment and the lighting is very very nice. I'm using it with my cowboy studio DP-320 monolight, and it's amazing the light is soft and not too bright for the space that i have it's perfect. I'ts also good for beginners or if your on a budget. good construction and quick to use. If your looking for a nice softbox, this is a very nice one.

They are beginning to really skimp on the materials especially the metal ribs making it a lot less durable in recent revisions. But the light produced is angelic.

This is pretty awesome soft light. The diffusion feels a little flimsy but it works so far without any problem. I must say it gives an amazing quality of light.UPDATE: Haven't even had a real photo shoot it's been inside the cover for a month. Already one spoke is broken. Garbage quality. My previous mention of light quality stays but this is total junk and not suited for any kind of work. WASTE OF MONEY

I love the portability. Used it this weekend for a senior portrait session, just attached it to a mono pod and was happy with the results. The light quality is nice and soft.

Gives a soft even light, check YouTube for tips on placing it on your strobe, once I did that it was a cinch to set up!

Good price, great quality and excellent craftsmanship. Its easy to set up and does the job, I highly recommend this product to pros and beginners alike...
