Good quality for a reasonable price
Some of my indoor low-light plants were still really struggling in my dim living room, so I looked into various grow bulbs. The lamp I'm using in has the bulb exposed, so I wanted something that fit my aesthetic while providing adequate light for a reasonable price. This light was significantly cheaper than some with similar outputs, and I also like the way the bulb looks way more than most that I saw. It's been a few months and my plants are thriving.

great - use as "regular" lamp light bulbs
My plants need the help in Summertime when I have to block most of the strong Phoenix sun. I just use them in place of all my regular lamp bulbs. The light is not blue, it is white to the eyes so I can't tell the difference but the plants can. I started buying these back in the 70's and will always use them. They also work in wintertime for plants that need a bit more light. These are really just a supplemental sun, so I find it is necessary that the plants are somewhat close to the fixture - 3 to 10 feet.

I thought it was going to be a waste of money when I received the product because the ...
Each winter I grow worried as I haul my plants in from the cold. I have no place in the house with adequate lighting for my plants and they seam to barely make it through the winter with the low lighting. So far my plants appear healthy and are even growing with the extra lighting. I leave the light on about 6 hours during the day, seems to do well enough. I thought it was going to be a waste of money when I received the product because the packaging information did not say anything about there being a proper light spectrum to sustain plant life (though the product description on Amazon did). There must be something there that's helping my plants, because they are much happier this winter than the previous winters.

Great for House Plants in the Winter
I bought two of these grow bulb for $5/each on Amazon, which is about half of what it cost in my local gardening stores. Initially I bought it to provide my house plants enough light throughout the dreary winter months. A few weeks ago I planted some seeds and they grew very quickly, but were “leggy.” After a gardening friend sent me information I realized the problem was that the seedlings were reaching for my grow light, which I had put in the overhead light on the ceiling (as there wasn’t ample light coming from the windows nearby) and that I needed to put the bulb in a desk lamp closer to my plants. Ideally I’d have found a lamp that reached a few inches away but settled for what I had and the bulb is about a foot over the plants and I hope that the seedlings recover from being so long and leggy. If you intend to use this bulb for seedlings I suggest making sure you have a lamp that you can lower to the plants and that you buy enough bulbs to adequately cover the seeds. If you’re just using this to provide additional light for regular house plants it seemed to work fine in my overhead light. It’s a very good price and my house plants and seedlings are growing well.

It is winter but my plants have new leaves thanks to these
I wondered if these would work for my houseplants if I put them in some clamp lamps. And they did! There are no south facing windows in my home and my tropical houseplants were looking very sad. These allow me to keep the tropicals in the North facing window by providing a bit more light. I didn't want to spend the money on the LED grow lights right off the bat. I know they are very energy efficient but I was looking for a money efficient option. I could probably put more of these in my regular light fixtures near some plants and they would do good there too.

Great grow light for my 5 foot high "money plant"
Great grow light for my 5 foot high "money plant". I get almost no light in my living room and running the Phillips Agro Plant light does the trick. I have a Rasperry Pi (for those of you who know what that is) turning on the grow light for 12 hours during the day which seems to keep my plant very happy. I like the fact that the grow light is only 60 watts and the light it produces is pleasant in my living room. Great product!

Only lasted a week, not worth the money.
This lasted maybe a week, save yourself some money and buy a better bulb - there’s another plant bulb by the same brand that works much better. The color was a true warm which I liked but the value just isn’t there.
