It fits. It works
Fits fine on an ipad mini 5. The ipad shuts off when you close the cover, even if the software tells it not to. Apparently the ipad must have a magnetic hardware switch or something that overrides the software.

Perfect fit for iPAD Mini 5th Gen
The fit is good and secure on an iPAD Mini 5th Generation A2133. All buttons, microphone, speaker and cameras are accessible. The cover magnet to implement the sleep on close works perfectly. The cover fold works as it should to support the iPAD for viewing.Good price, good quality, fast delivery. -:)

Great, just a couple downsides
I’ve been using this case for a couple weeks and it’s better quality then expected. A little more flimsy then the official Smart Cover apple sells, it is a quarter of the price though. I do have a couple complaints, the side it rests on is the fuzzy side of the case, I can see how the side of the cover that touches the screen will get dirty and greasy over time as I use it on the counter and kitchen table. Because the magnets are not nearly as strong as other high end covers this one is hard to keep upright while on my lap or knees on a zoom call. It’s great for the price, almost perfect. We’ll see how long it lasts!

Love, Love, Love
I purchased my iPad Mini in 2020, complete with the $39 Apple cover. I use my iPads a lot & this is the 2nd time a cover wore out before the device. Unfortunately for me I could only replace the cover by driving 4 hours round trip. Apple will not ship a replacement cover for my Mini. I was very apprehensive about purchasing a third party brand, but I love this type cover and wanted the protection & convenience it provides. I also was concerned about the quality of this cover since it is $27 cheaper than the original.OMG! What a great surprise. The color is beautiful, it fits perfectly, it looks fabulous. And because the back is clear, I can see my lovely iPad color. Next time I purchase an iPad, this will be my first choice.
