Wow, great fan! Don't forget its on!
This item arrived very quickly and in great condition.Once unpackaged it did not take me long to put together, although it may have helped if I read the assembly instructions first, there are four holes to put the fan's base 'pegs' in however they only fit in one way due to one of the pegs being a different shape. The fan looks very nice and is very quiet, the only sound I can hear when it is running is the woosh of air it creates, the osciliation at least to me is completely silent. The fan even on its lowest setting is very impressive, far suparsing my previous one which had to be on full power about 30cm away to feel it, however this one on its lowest setting can be felt easily around two metres away. On it's highest setting its is understandably much louder, however it is still very slightly quieter yet still far less 'abrasive sounding' than my previous fan. I don't like the 'breeze' mode so much, as while it feels nice in the corner of a room, the volume of it varies so much while it speeds up and down all the time, and the sleep mode just seems to do exactly the same thing, just slightly quieter. The Ionizer seems to have little noticable effect (Noise/visually) but I still like to have it on anyway. It is also handy to note that this fan does also have two Car Fan style directional adjusters in it that you can use to push some of the output air upwards or downwards, which certainly helps make up for the fact that the fan cannot be tilted up or down. The built in timer is also very handy as I often dont realize just when I'm about to fall asleep, it is great knowing i can make it turn off after a certain amount of time so I dont have to worry too much about remembering to turn it off before I leave or fall asleep. I did actually leave yesterday and came back a few hours later and it was still on, I'd forgotten it was on when I left and didnt have the timer set, it really is that quiet.Overall I am extremely impressed with this fan, It looks and feels great, the remote control works well although it does still use infra red technology so therefore has to actually be pointed at the fan to work. It is extremely effective, even on the lowest setting and seems fairly sturdy.I would definately purchase another one if needed.

Can recommend.
I looked at several fans for use in the bedroom and very nearly bought one of those 'very expensive' ones ..... But on reading reviews settled in the end for this fan - I am pleased I did! It was easy to assemble (just the base plate) and it has been a godsend in the hot weather. It has a remote which is just brilliant - if I wake in the night I can just fumble around with this - no need to climb out of bed. Also the timer function is brilliant - put it on with timer when I go to bed and it shuts itself odd. I think also that it is very quiet - obviously it gets noises as the fan speed ins increased. If I had a gripe about anything it would be that when the fan is on timer just before it s***s itself off there is a small beep and the fan speed seems to push out in one final blow! It's not much but a couple of times it has woken me up.Aside from that bough I would have no hesitation in buying another one and recommending it to anyone.

Very pleased
Great service on from Sales Direct Online re delivery. The only reason I've given the product 4 stars instead of 5 is that it isn't quite as powerful as I personally need. Having said that I was looking for a wind tunnel blast of air and that was never going to happen! Hah! The top power setting gives a very respectable blast and is also very quiet. On the lower settings it's almost inaudible. The 6 speeds make for excellent versatility in different locations and all the other functions work extremely well. All in all a good product and excellent value for money.

Great Fan but has a design fault
So I have had 2 of these fans that both had the same issue. Stopped working after a few days of use. I decided to open the 2nd one up. Inside the wiring is poor and was loosing connection. I rewired it and now works perfectly.

A very impressive tower fan
After months of searching and reading reviews of tower fans, we decided on this one and I have to say I think we made a great choice. It has all the features you need plus I can vouch for the quiet operation (at speeds 1 and 2 anyway). There are a couple of modes like breeze mode, which randomly increases and decreases the fan speed to emulate a natural breeze (which I'm not entirely sold on but find interesting at the same time), and night mode, which I have no idea what the intent of that is. The instruction manual doesn't really explain it. I tried it once and never used it again, and just kept it on a 2 or 3 when sleeping. The speed variations are also great. 1 being quiet but you can still feel, up to 6 which is very powerful! We found the remote very useful too. I say found, because we lost it after the first week. D'oh! Can you buy them separately? We'd be interested! The display is clear and easy to understand, plus the red LEDs which indicate the fan speed are not too bright and not annoying in a dark room in the slightest.Overall Mylek have proven themselves with this fan and I 100% recommend it.

All easily accessible from the buttons on top of the unit
One of the wingnuts wouldn't fit. So I'm using this with just one wingnut connecting the unit to the base. For the price I paid, I expect both wingnuts to blooming fit! There are plenty of options - there's an ioniser option, it has options to turn off after a certain time, speed options, oscillating option, etc. All easily accessible from the buttons on top of the unit, or via the remote control. The LED display is readable enough, it lights up when you're changing the options with the various symbols telling you what is currently set, etc. There's also air direction control which are two small plasic levels in the grille. The build quality feels quite cheap, the remote control feels very cheap, clunky, but it works and keeps me cool at night. It's very noisy when the speed is set to high, but on the lowest speed setting, it's barely audible. It doesn't take up much space. But overpriced for the quality I got.
