This was my last resort
When I saw the extremely negative review from the only other customer commenting on this product, I felt compelled to write my own review. The other review is in regards to the company, not the product, and I want to share MY story, which is about the PRODUCT.I have a 15 year old cat whom I love dearly. Two years ago he developed a rapidly spreading ringworm that was resistant to virtually every commonly available antifungal on the market. I took him to the vet as his hair was falling off at an alarming rate and he itched until he bled. The vet prescribed several prescription topical products, but they didn't work either. Three weeks into our ordeal, my boy was naked over half of his body. Finally, the vet prescribed a prescription oral antifungal - but after only 3 doses, my cat became extremely ill due to catastophic liver failure, and required 10 days of hospitalization. He almost died. When I picked him up to bring him home, the vet shook his head and told me that there was nothing we could do.I did a lot of internet research, and stumbled across this product. Its claims were rather wild, and I'm cautious by nature, but at this point, we were desperate. Many of the testimonials were so favorable that I suspected company employees might be posing as satisfied customers. I ordered a small jar of Sulfinex anyway. It arrived promptly.Three days after beginning treatment - yes, 3 DAYS - my kitty began to respond rapidly. The bleed stopped. The skin began to heal. The hair started to grow back in. Within one month, he was completely healed. That was almost 2 years ago, and he has not had one recurrence. I could not believe it. The vet was amazed, and now recommends Sulfinex to his patients. One last comment: I am a pharmacist. Not all products are created equal, and two compounds with identical ingredients can vary tremendously in their effectiveness depending upon their formula, their chemical composition, and their method of manufacture. The chemistry behind this product is sound, and I believe what this company has done is find a balanced formula of proven antifungals in the correct proportion, micronized the active ingredients so that they will penetrate the skin, and incorporated them into an ointment base that is able to deliver the medication to the deeper layers of the epidermis and dermis. Bottom line, it works.

Safe and Effective Treatment For Young Kittens
While my kitten was not a fan of having her feet and ears slathered in Sulfinex cream, it was highly effective, even with only a single application per day. I found I didn't need to use anything to dissolve the tiny crystals in it; I just smeared a little around between my fingers, which warmed it up nicely. It does seem to be a powerful desiccant, as sometimes my fingers would end up wrinkled after handling it, as if all the water had been sucked out. That's great news, though, because ringworm, like all fungus, likes moisture, and I wanted the ringworm gone. After only a couple of days of applications, my kitten's bare, inflamed skin scabbed over, and when the scabs came off a day or two later, her skin was looking pale and healthy. She then immediately started growing a little fur back. Obviously, she was a young kitten (7 weeks), so everything she had was growing non-stop, including her fur, but it was a great sign that any infection in the hair follicles was knocked out. After about two weeks, I could no longer see any visible signs that there had ever been an infection in the places I treated, though there were a few spots I didn't catch initially. (Press on the paws to get the claws out, because infection can hide in the nail bed, and this cream can't fix what you don't treat!) I continued with the cream for about two weeks after the last problem spot started growing fur and then kept careful watch. At 13 weeks now, she's healthy and has shown no signs of recurrence, and I'm declaring victory.

Good product
Its easy to apply. Has a strong medication smell would be my only complaint about it but it did help with my dogs balding spots. Only used once on her.

Works on our Maine coon cat that had wounds from scratches and possible mites.
If you can get this thick paste on your cat it works great. It was a bit hard to get my cat to let me put this on his wounds and on an area that appeared to have some type of mites but as he'd run away id smear it in best I could and even that small amount seemed to clear him up within just two to three days. He had scratches from a cat fight and then the mite area where hair was falling out. It's a small jar but after you resize how little you need it's actually a large quantity you get. Doesn't smell too bad, a bit medicinal, but our cat usually smelled it quite quickly and would take off running after we got the lid off. Suggestion would be to already have kitty or dog held and have the paste ready on a a tip so they won't bolt when the Lysol smelling stuff comes near them. Our cat didn't lick it off or have any issues that way. It was behind his ears though so a good spot he couldn't get too. May consider a cone if it's in an area they'll lick. Some said it was dry and gritty but ours was more like toothpaste consistency and easy to apply. We have a very furry Maine coon. Worked wonders for him and his pretty hair has grown back over the area you see in the pics thanks to this medication. Took one star off for smell.
