Perfect 10 professional clipper!!!
As a professional Barber I have always geeked out on my clippers; not very difficult to do as every barber has a different technique and clippers define the difference between a barber and a hair stylist in my opinion. I have always used Andis Masters as my clipper of choice, I have three which I use on a daily basis; I also had one Oster Classic 76er which I used to define the base of every haircut. By the end of a long week behind the chair, I always gravitated to using the Masters instead of the 76er for clipper over comb work; this is significant because there are a lot of negative attributes which would make the 76er the rational choice for clipper over comb work. Really the only thing that I liked using the 76er for is simple buzz cuts because it can mow hair like a champ. After months of double shifts and lots of arm strain I decided I might want to give the Model 10 a try; best purchase I have made since picking up my first master!!! Though it is only slightly shorter in length in comparison to the 76er, it is also a smaller diameter in circumference which means it is thinner in the hand; in addition to smaller stature it is also lighter in weight making this a much more agile clipper in application. This is all of the agility of an adjustable clipper with the power of a cool running rotary motor. Oh and before I forget to add; this thing is considerably quieter than the 76er!!! This clipper is perfected for clipper over comb fading and mowing down of the coarsest hair. Being that it is an Oster, I am fairly confident that I will be capable of running it for at least a decade before I burry it and dig for a replacement. In short; durable, reliable, & quieter than a 76er; need I say more? Ditch the 76 and go for a perfect 10!!!UPDATE: After the power cord started to separate from the housing due to normal ware and tear, I decided to do the repair myself. I studied every tutorial online which instructed on how to replace the toggle(on/off) switch and replace the power cord ON THE OSTER 76. I could not find a single tutorial with the Model 10 as the focus of the repair, and after successfully preforming the repair I understand why; the wiring has been simplified to even higher degree than the Classic 76!! This might be the easiest in depth clipper repair that I have ever made; and I totally disassembled and rebuilt a Classic 76!!! There is no question in my mind, if I were to ever need another rotary engine clipper I would buy an Oster for ease of use, and longevity; but going even further, the only Oster clipper that I would ever endorse would be the new Oster Model 10!!!

Great Clipper
If you are an Oster 76 fan, you will love this. It is lighter, shorter, and will still plow through. Ideal for cutting hair with shorter people who do not sit up much higher than back of chair. I feel like it gets hotter than the 76, but I do not see buying another 76.

Shame On Me For Not Getting This Sooner!
I just don't understand why I didn't get this 20 years ago. I cut a dozen head of of hair at least monthly, and now there are four men with thick beards that need a good trimmer. The box store cheap cutters use to be my only staple for cutting hair and trimming beards but we went through them fast and they cut terribly and usually forced me to only cut "buzz cuts" for my younger children. I should have went the professional route a LONG time ago. Now I can do fades, longer hair styles to allow them to comb/brush their hair, weekly trims, neat/crisp squaring up of the girls longer hair and down to the skin facial trims that allow me to skip the cold hard steel. It was a toss up between this model and the Oster Classic 76. I chose the Model 10 because I have a few with smaller hands that need to use the clippers and figured this model would be a bit easier for them. It probably wouldn't have mattered. This model is superb and handles the finest baby hair to the thickest, course/wiry hair. I'm pretty sure we could de-bark pine trees with this thing. It's very powerful and it intimidated me when I first used it. But now it fits in my hand so naturally and I trust it to not tear through my skull with the ease of a hot knife through butter. I've never been cut or burned by a hot blade and I've never heard it even bog down. No more cutting over the same area twice or three times. I wear a crew cut (military style) and I've never had a more squared, sharp and neat cut. I think it's powered by a diesel engine. I love diesel engines!I clean it by running the head in a shallow container of Dawn dishwashing liquid and warm water, rinse it, dry it, sterilize it using vodka and plantain and finally lubricate it using food grade mineral oil. I've since bought several clipper blades to compliment what this beast can do. It's big, powerful, intimidating and yet has all the finesse and grace and ability necessary to cut any hair any way. No heat at the cutter head. No cutting the skin. No bogging down. I bet it lasts me at least 20 years. No brainer. I think it makes me a better man! :)

Amazing
I bought these clippers for my father, who cuts my hair. I also use these to trim body hair. Very happy with this purchase. I upgraded to these from a cheap pair of Wahls and you can tell a huge difference. This is the Rolls Royce of Clippers. It never gets bogged down, even when cutting through thick wet hair. It even sounds dramatically different, you can hear the quality in the motor, and feel it in the weight. Definitively worth the investment.

Great product
This clipper is built to last! I am a Barber and have used the classic 76 and Andis master for all of my career. I have even tried the Andis bgr. But none of them compare to the Oster model 10! It's not only lighter than the classic 76 but I truly think it's more powerful as well. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because you still have to replace the carbon brushes on it after a few months. Other than that it's a great clipper. Must have for all barbers.
