Orbit 20066 Portable 1/4-Inch Outdoor Mist Cooling System

I took less than 5 minutes to clip these because the triple digit temps were brutal. I was SHOCKED at how much cooler it felt immediately. I've already ordered more.

I absolutely LOVED this product and it worked perfectly. We bought it for a party during Memorial Weekend, which was over 95 degrees that day. Set up for a breeze. We attached it between two trees in the shade. It did take about 30 seconds for the water to wind its way from the facet through our long hose, up a tree and through the hose of the unit before it started working. We had it on a medium water pressure level and it misted perfectly for over 7 hours. People loved it! When I took it down I was surprised and pleased to find that the ground below was not overly wet or muddy, just a little damp. During use, I did note the formation of water droplets on the hose during use, but it was not enough of a problem that anyone complained or that it created a watery mess below. We do have nice thick grass, and it was a hot day, (though set up in the shade) so perhaps without those conditions there might be more water below. If I try it elsewhere, such as on our deck, I will update my review. As a precaution for avoiding calcium build up, I removed the brass nozzles and allowed them to dry out on a paper towel over night (they each had about one droplet of water inside) before packing them in a zip lock bag in the original box. Also, I hung the hose up by one end to allow remaining droplets of water to drain out overnight from the hose adapter end before packing away. The original box is sturdy and perfect for keeping and storing the mister, though I might go ahead and order a second unit and attach it to our deck for the summer. It really provided a very pleasing mist of water, and I was so thankful to have it for our party!

Mister works great, and it really cools you off. The little clips that come with it to mount it are total garbage. The metal rusts within a week of getting moist. Which, if you are using them on a mister, is inevitable. I would buy this again but would plan to mount them without the cheap clips that it comes with. This is great for cooling and works awesome to water my garden. The flow rate is low enough that I can leave it on for 8-12 hours without flooding my garden, but there's enough water that my lettuce and peppers are growing like crazy without any other watering.

I had mixed feelings about this product following a read thru the reviews but went ahead and ordered it anyway. It was inexpensive enough to at least give it a try. I was cautious with the overall length of the system, to keep it small enough to not see a (potential) drop in water pressure and large enough to cover a seating area under a covered patio. I went with this "for patio umbrella" system. The only downside was that the supplied clips were for... umbrella. But that was a non-issue as I understood what this system was primarily designed for. However, the supplied clips could be of better quality. Those who get this for umbrella install, might take at least one star off for that reason. I wasn't going to use them, so I will be more generous with rating in that regard. Plugging in the misters and the rest of the installation was a snap once the location was figured out, taking less than 5 minutes. After that, it simply worked, and beautifully. No dripping from anywhere. Most time spent in fine tuning was to point the misters in the desired direction but accomplished easily. Good product and well worth the price. Now only if those clips were made better.

I purchased this product hoping for a fine mist that would evaporate in the air. Unfortunately, while some of the mist was small enough to evaporate, there was also an excessive amount of spray. Even hanging 10 feet in the air, the patio under the line got wet, as did our patio chairs. The most annoying part to me was that my glasses got far too many droplets on them. With that said, assembly and set up was a snap. I connected it to our garden hose and everything was simple. Rather than purchasing a mesh filter like another reviewer suggested, I simply stuffed a cotton ball into the hose fitting and it filtered the water without incident.

This is an answer to a prayer! I live in the Vegas area where temps lately have soared to 119 degrees, in the dry heat. Hotter yet in the sun and on concrete or asphalt, with heat buldup. I have a large condo with 2 large airconditioners that are top of the line, 4 ton each. To drop the condo to near 70 is impossible. Even with unused bedrooms closed off. The ACs run nearly all day and work very hard. So I hoped for a way to drop it from 78 indoors to 72. This DID IT! I wrapped it around each of the AC units, and the result was that the AC worked with less "laboring" and immediately cooled it down to 72, and did NOT run all day. You know, I was a developer and I know that AC is often speced out to drop 30 degrees max, perhaps 35 if use a really big unit. A temp of 118 down to 70 is a 48 degree DROP. It does this if i ask it. I even tested it at 68 degrees and it did that as well. Get this, wrap it around your AC and place the nozzles carefully, and let it "mist" for the intake. I recommend you get the hose calcium filter to take out the hard water unless you are running softened water or nuvo water. Good luck!

Too bad I waited to install it & missed my return window. Now I'm stuck with a worthless mister. Leaked heavily out of the area where the small hose goes into the hose connector so of course, it wouldn't mist & nothing I did got it to stop leaking. Soo disappointed.

Worth every penny!! I have been searching for a misting system for eons, refused to pay for shipping and ultimately got fed up searching and ordered this. It was prime eligible so I thought - why not? Amazon’s return policy is killer. This system is awesome! Set up in minutes and works like a charm. We took it from our home to the cabin to use while we were there and take down/re-hook up is a breeze. Don’t wait like I did, we could have been enjoying this for months!

De los 6 aspersores, solo venían 5 y tuve que poner cinta en el primer orificio. Y de las 5 valvulas, solo 3 funcionan bien, las otras sale mucha agua y moja. Podrían enviarme otras valvulas?

Had my sons bday party temp was gonna be around 38 degrees Celsius with humidity so I thought this would help as it was a backyard party and it did. Doesn’t get you wet and everyone was talking about it. Only issue is it sometimes clogges but it’s pretty cool unit.

A great little misting system to cool us and our dog off during a heat wave. Not very sophisticated, but doesn't need to be at the price point!

Portable misting system needs to be st least 20% longer to be effective in most applications. An extention kit for 1/4 inch basic system would give effective coverage to most large patio umbrellas. The hose clips provided work well and additional clips can be obtained by purchasing 'ID badge clips' from stationary store. One alternative is to buy 3/8" Basic Outdoor Misting System and buy ID clips to attach tubing to fabric of umbrella as 3/8" system has extention kit available.
