Slim and understated dress watch. The dial is deep black, not gray!
The stainless watch case feels solid, thick, and has a good weight. I was afraid the images of the watch make it appear cheaply made but I was wrong. The dial is deep black, and not a tint of gray. The crown is easy to operate, well damped, and the watch hands have good resistance and do not wobble like a cheap quartz movement when adjusting time. Thickness of crystal is moderate and it's completely flat. The watch operation is absolutely silent since it doesn't have a second hand. This Swiss Ronda movement has a special feature known as 'big date'. It uses 2 wheels to illustrate each digit of the date so it requires monthly adjustment, otherwise it will go from day 31 to 39 and back to 00. It's not a faulty design but it's the only way to illustrate 2 digits, each in its own wheel, unlike other watch that uses a single wheel to show 1-31 but they will be squeezed so tiny that it's hard to see for some people. The mesh strap is high quality. The buckle is matte and engraved with the logo. Adjusting the mesh strap can be confusing for the first time, and requires a flat screw driver. Google 'how to adjust mesh watch strap'.There is no single negative since it's such as simple elegant dress watch where less is more. It's well made and a real bargain for this $30-50 price range.

Least expensive BIG DATE watch available. Good value for this very low price.
I need big date watches because, despite my glasses, the usual watch tiny dates are difficult for me to see. I bought four of these (2 black dial, 2 white dial) watches (at two different prices) because at this current sub-$30 price it doesn't matter if they are not heirloom watches or if they do not keep perfect time. It is a discontinued model at various close-out prices on the web. There are reviews of the decent movement on the web.
