A practical container for a daily item.
2013: We used to have a canister like this in our family kitchen. After 20 years or so the adhesive blob wore out. I hadn't found a replacement until this "travel trailer" variety. I don't hang the container under a cabinet and I don't know if it is satisfactory used that way. I do like it sitting on the counter top. Nothing fancy. The filters are nicely protected. It works as advertised.Addition: it is now 11/2015 and the filter dispenser works well. I massage the blob every time a add another stack of filters to the basket. I have not needed to get a replacement yet. I don't know where I would find one..... may the day never come!November, 2016: The dispense is still working well with the original ball of adhesive. Every time I add a new bunch of filters to the dispenser I work the ball with my fingers to freshen it up. Otherwise look at the next review to see how to replace the sticky stuff.

Works perfect!
UGH I hated trying to get one coffee filter out when two or more would come out, then I got this and it is perfect, every time I push down the button on this it grabs ONE filter. At one point it seemed that it wasn't grabbing well but I just smooshed the putty that is on this and it worked perfect after that. I also noticed that you cannot fill this tight or it won't work, so I just pack it lightly.

Works great plus an easy way to renew sticky part that people complained about.
I had purchased a new coffee maker. It was the first coffee maker I owned that used the basket filters. It's easy to grab a cone filter but after opening my first bag of basket filters well let's just say I didn't want to go through that every morning. That's when I found the Camco 43653 Coffee Filter Dispenser. After reading the reviews the only concern I had was the complaint about it not staying sticky which meant it stop working. When it arrived and I saw what was being used for the sticky stuff I knew exactly what it was. Sure enough about two months later it became harder to get the filters out. The sticky stuff is Duct Seal which is non toxic and you can buy at any home improvement/hardware store for about $3. Just make sure it says non toxic on the packaging since I don't know if there is a brand out there that might be toxic. Pinch a small amount off and roll it around in the palm of your hand until soft and pliable then just press it on. Don't use to much, no more than twice the size of the piece you removed. I gave it 4 stars because I had to buy the duct seal, they should included some for replacement. With the renewed sticky part it works good as new. I love this thing it makes it so easy to get just one filter every time I need one.

Good solution, but with flaws
This unit does the job of dispensing one filter at a time, but has some issues. First the mounting holes for screw mounting are oriented wrong. The open holes where the screws in the cabinet pop into are mounted toward the front of the unit. The narrow slots where the screw slide into are towards the back of the unit, so you have to pop the screws through the open holes and pull the unit forward and then tighten the screws in place. OK, now in use one has to push the lower lid back and down to get access to the single filter. This repeated pushing and opening can loosen the unit and your pushing can slide the unit back and the screws can drop through the open holes. This would effectively dismount the unit.A better fail-safe design would be to orient the mounting holes with the open holes in the back and the slots forward. This way the repeated pushing would just jam the screws deeper into the retaining slot.Second, the unit comes with a sticky pad to pickup the filter. Obviously this sticky pad will get linty and lose its usefulness. There is no information as to where and how one gets a replacement sticky pad. Is the pad maintainable by a washing procedure? Who knows?, no information. So don't plan on this as a long-term solution

Works for a short while
Ok I loved this at first. Worked great for about a month, until the little putty like gob (that the filter stuck to), dried up. Now it will not grap the filter. So I just use this for filter storage. Trying to figure out what else I can put on there that the filter will stick to enough to separate them but still be able to get the filter loose easily. Seems to me that the manufacturer had to know it would stop sticking and give you more of the putty or at least tell you what you needed to buy to replace it.Edit - After I wrote this review I sent an email to the company. Within a week I received a strip of the putty in the mail. It works for a few days after you put the new putty on but then quits again. I threw the whole thing away. Would not recommend this product

Concept is relatively good -
I usually refrain from negative reviews but, as much as the concept is relatively OK, I must say that this item is functionally "totally useless". We mounted it under a shelf in the kitchen, the same day we received it. We used new filters, closed the lid and repeatedly tried to get out one filter. We read most of the reviews and used some of the recommendations within; but only once did we get a single filter and it was all out of shape. We returned the item same day. The only positive from this entered experience is the fact we bought it through Amazon which me we could print a label and return it the same day with complete refund. That's why we always buy stuff at Amazon.
