Great Deal
A rare find in my opinion. For less than $200 this bass guitar cannot be beat. Mine came with a perfect set up. Good action no sharp rats. Very good intonation and no problems with neck relief or buzzing. I could not be happier with this deal. I have a minor problem with the strap button jack. It’s an unusual shape and hard to fit a strap on. The tuner works fine, but is a little slow in response. The jury is still out on the tuning machines. I wish it came with a case, but at this price, I understand. I am so happy with this instrument I invested in the Cordoba 1/4 size gig beg. Fits good but tight at the headstock. Overall, the instrument is so easy to play and so very fun. It looks great, feels very tactile and light. I recommend a using a wide strap as the instrument is a little neck heavy And it does sound terrific, both acoustically and plugged in. I would buy this again in a flash, but there is no need as this one is a keeper. Love it.

Love it! 😍
I love this guitar more than my electric bass that cost 4x as much.Fun to play for bluegrass and related styles. Strings are easy on the fingers. Light as a feather to wear on a strap. I love taking it places. Short neck is never in the way in small spaces. Great built-in and lit up tuner, convenient volume knob. Perfect construction, sturdy, beautiful instrument.Amazing little bass for the price, however the tuning knobs are a little finicky when tuning. Not sure if it is how the factory strung it, or if the knobs need replaced. Once in tune, it stays in tune. Also, this bass will not keep up with a rock band. I’ve done it, but prefer to use my electric five string bass for the non-acoustic, rock styled sets. The sound is wonderful for any style music, it’s just not meant to be played hard like my electric. The strings are too short and vibrate in a way that it can’t be played fast.I would recommend this for any beginner. It is a joy to play. They won’t want to put it down!!

Best $200 I ever spent
If you're having any doubts on this one.. stop having those doubts. This thing kicks some serious ass. It's acoustic electric so its plenty loud without an amp but can be plugged in if needed to really rock the block. Sound wise - this thing compares to quality basses, it sounds great slapping and popping, tapping sounds awesome and easy, shorter scale makes it easy to shred up and down the neck, it has like 20 frets so good enough for me. you can strum it like an acoustic guitar and it sounds great. extremely versatile, good wuality, and i didnt have the fret filing issue that others experienced. highly recommend for beginners and enthusiasts alike. myself - started playing bass 15 years ago but fell out of it for a while, and this was an amazing instrument for getting back into it. best value ive seen for an instrument. metal strings. amazing sound. so fun to play. A++

Not perfect, but fantastic fun for the price
I wanted a portable fun toy bass for camping and travel, and this thing is just the ticket. There are several similar basses by other manufacturers that all use these same round wound nylon strings. The Ibanez PNB14E sounds a bit better, but it's also quite a bit bigger and more expensive. I haven't tried the Taylor - I'm sure it's great but it's a LOT more expensive. I also haven't tried the UBass with its rubber strings - I wanted something a little bit bigger than that. It's also a great size for kids who want to try out the bass and the strings are easier on the hands than normal ones - though I think any kid who got into it would quickly want a 'real' bass.Pros:It's tremendously fun to play with a funky little sound, and you can play it anywhere without lugging along any gear. I call mine the Groove Machine. The strings have a lot more give to them than normal bass strings - very bouncy and easy on the fingers. It sounds GREAT when plugged in.Great travel size. The fret spacing is very similar to an acoustic guitar, so you can stretch to some notes that are difficult to reach on a normal bass.Cons:The finish work understandably gets hurried on such an inexpensive instrument - My fretboard is a bit rough in spots and the fret ends could use some filing. That said, it's a pretty little thing and I think the quality is good for the price. It's very quiet when unplugged, and if you play it hard the slap sound reminds me of a toy guitar. I really enjoy playing it to myself, but you're not going to lead a campfire singalong without a little ampSince I came from guitar I don't generally play bass the "normal" fingerstyle way where you hit the strings with the tips of your index and middle fingers - but there's no feature (like a pickup on a normal bass) to rest your thumb on for this kind of playingI'm not one to break strings, but they are expensive if you do. FYI the strings the other comments say to buy aren't available anymore. Just get whatever strings they are selling for the Taylor GS Mini, currently D'Addario XTB3790GS.I thought the notes were going out of tune above the 12th fret and I initially decided it just doesn't play well up there - but now that I check it with a tuner the intonation isn't bad... maybe I judged too quickly during the new string stretching out phase. You can't reach much above fret 15 anyway.

Beautiful bass guitar with great sound!
Bought this as a gift, and she loves it!!! She is just learning, and she says the size makes it easy for her to play. She said it sounds great plugged into an amp, as well as on its own. She loves that the strings don’t hurt her fingers when playing. Overall, I am SO happy with this purchase! It is a beautiful bass guitar!

Very good if you know how to finish setting it up and ditch the strings it comes with.
The title explains it all. It was desperately in need of a real setup upon arrival and either the strings were old or not particularly good. Neck relief, intonation, and string binding at the nut. I finally got it dialed in and and sounding good and 2 strings died. Not broken, but lifeless. When it works, it sounds better than anything that small has a right to. Recommend to anyone with setup knowledge or a tech with a sense of humor. A couple extra minutes spent on it before they shipped would have made all the difference.

Amazing little travel bass
I've had this acoustic Bass for several years now and it's functional as heck. It was worth the money , the neck feels amazing after all the years I've played it, the action is incredible not a surprise from a Cordoba product. 💯
