Keyboard for HP Pavilion DV6 530580-001 518965-001 Series Layout US

A few years back a roommate of mine accidentally spilled some orange juice on my laptop's keyboard, a HP Pavilion dv6x1259, and I finally replaced it. This product worked out great. It did exactly what I needed it to and at a much better price than other options. This was about 15 dollars after shipping whereas I would have had to spend about 70 to get the exact keyboard part from HP. One note though, this is a matte black, not a glossy black like my original. I replaced the keyboard myself which is simple enough if you have experience mucking around in the insides of a computer already, but if you don't have experience I would recommend taking it into a store that can do it for you. It's straight forward, but if you make a mistake you can accidentally damage the inside and cause a much more expensive problem. I recommend this product.

I ruinied the keyboard on my laptop with cleaning spray. It got into the computer when it was in the back seat of my car on the floor.(Doh!!!) it had a rather caustic effect on the metal.This replacement keyboard fit fine and renewed my laprop.the keys are flat finish, which is preferable to the origional shiny keys.This one looks better and does not show fingerprints and smudges like the origional.The keyboard layout is a smidge different than the origional.There is a extra \ key to the left of the z key and the right of the shift key.(This is not in the photo. shown.)Somthing must not have seated correctly when I put it in. The keyboard was putting out characters, sporadicly. I gave it some tapping tapping with my fingertips in the area of the keyboard that character was. it seems to have cleared up. (not so hard to damage anything but firm enough to settle things.

Keyboard arrived faster than the quoted time for shipping, and was exactly as described. I managed to install the new keyboard in under an hour, with having to stop and find a new tutorial/video on youtube for different parts of the installation.

The advertisement did not specify if this was a matte finish or glossy; my lap top is glossy and the key board is matte

Perfect fit, looks good, and works well.

The keyboard came in a timely fashion saved me from having to buy a whole new laptop!

Got this to replace my laptop keyboard. I love it better than the one it came with! Works perfect too.

The keyboard that I received was bent and missing buttons, I would not recommend this product to some one looking for a replacement keyboard for their HP laptop.
