I gave only two stars for ease of dispensing, because I had to pierce the dropper a few times to release a drop of essential oil. That said, this is the BEST lavender essential oil I have come across and I have purchased many over the years.I was skeptical of it being a true essential oil due to its light floral lavender scent, so I did an oil blot test. In the photo I added, there is no oil residue left behind. This tells me I have made a great purchase and that grandma makes some awesome essential oils at an affordable cost.My anxiety was eased almost immediately after putting the oil on my pulse points and again when I added a few (a lot) of drops to my bath.

The oil right out of the bottle smelled like a lavender type of soap, which made me excited to try it. I trued it in my diffuser and it also smelled like lavendar soap at first. I didn't finish using the mix in my diffuser that day & was looking forward to getting back to it the next day, as I was enjoying it. I also tried it on my pulse points and liked the scent for a while until it morphed into a licorice type of scent on me. Then within a short while, the scent changed into a scent similar to that of an old-fashioned men's cheap cologne. Ugh! I thought, well maybe it didn't work on me but I did like it diffused so I turned on my diffuser to finish using what was left over and wouldn't you know, it too began to smell like a licorice cheap cologne! I've had to return my order as I couldn't live with the scent.

The lavender scent is pleasant. It is not what I was expecting. I didn't realize, before, that there is a distinct difference between standard lavender and "French" lavender. My local herb store confirmed that is what I've been buying for years. This lavender is quite nice! Different than what I am used to and that's a good thing. I will be sharing, using and recommending;)

This is lavender officinalis, not lavender augustifolia, which is the traditional lavender scent. This smells more like Jasmine to me. It is a nice oil and a good value. It has a dropper top, but no hole in the dropper so it comes with a separate dropper. I would try to pierce the stopper that is on the bottle, because taking it off to use the dropper provided with it seems likely to lead to spillage.

I love this seller and plan on buying all my essential oils from now on! The lavender has a soft floral scent that is the perfect blend of floral without choking you.

This product is great, I love this brand of essential oils so much ! It's a bit hard to dispense but it definitely is not as harsh as some lavender essential oils. Like the mini ones they have at whole foods I can't do those.Though a little goes a long way with your diffuser, too much product can feel like over kill.

The label says 100% essential oil. This oil has a distinct perfume-like smell to it and it seizes in cold process soap, unlike normal lavender essential oil. I do not believe it is labeled correctly. I have been using lavender in soap making for 18 years and this is not the stuff.

This product is inexpensive compared to other lavender EO’s, and with good reason - it smells synthetic and cheap, like bad soap.
