Wheat Bag Microwave Upper Shoulder and Back Heat Pack (or use as a Cold Pack) by WheatyBags® (Cotton Fabric - Red with Lavender)

Due to ongoing illness, one of the problems I have is back pain which travels from around my shoulders and down my upper back. This wheaty bag is fantastic. 3.5 mins in the microwave and it sits over my shoulders. The heat lasts about 20 - 30 mins if I am sat on the sofa, not moving around, but that's fine, it just goes back in the microwave if I need it again.It is sewn into sections so all the wheat doesn't run down to the bottom. I can move it around to where I have most pain, if I just have pain in my neck or on a shoulder, or I can just have it sitting over my shoulders if it is general upper back pain and it's well balanced to stay there.I picked the unperfumed one, just because another symptom from my illness is that I often feel nauseas. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I have had muscular back pain at night for years now and have been trying regular "heat packs".This is the easiest and most effective one so far.I bought the one which was the right shape to place on the shoulders and hang on you while sitting upright with the longer part resting on the painful area.There are ones with a lavender scent but I find them too smelly and not right for some people with medical problems.There is good stitching on sectioned areas which help to keep the wheat grains together,(some wheat bags do no have adequate stitching and go too lumpy in parts).This company makes bags of different shapes for different parts of the torso so you can choose the right one.Simply pop it in the microwave for 2 mins and it will give off heat for 5-10 mins depending on use.Well made and effective.

Sits on my mum's shoulders without slipping and holds heat for a while. This brand makes compartmentalised products so the wheat doesn't all slip to one end.Unfortunately it only lasted a few weeks before a hole appeared. My mum has used these wheat things for years so not sure it was because of misuse.

I really wanted to love this product but it sadly did not work for me. I purchased this on the recommendation of my GP but found this model to be too short to adequately cover my shoulder/neck area. The product also failed to retain heat and it would slip off the shoulder when used. I would not recommend this item.

well made and gets the heat to back and shoulders quickly. avoid direct contact with skin as can be initially very hot and burn your neck if not careful. found it rather heavy for my shoulders and was therefore more convenient for me to use lying down.

I love it and am glad to have an alternative to the usual rather firm "sausage" shape. I totally agree with those who suggest a longer bit at the back and I would like to see a bit more weight at the front which would give more heat around the neck. It is quite heavy for frail people to use. Cant wait to use it later !

It fits over the shoulders and I sometimes adjust it so that it covers the base of my neck as I get pain in the glands in my neck. Th bottom reaches the sore spot right between the base of my shoulder blades. The lavender is very soothing and I nod off more often than not. Would like a similar bag for the base of my back too.

Heats up well in Microwave and retains heat for a reasonable time.Pleased with purchase.Was delivered on time and well-packaged.
