I absolutely love this curling iron! I knew that I was in the market for one but really liked my old one from a top beauty supply store. However, I tended to accidentally and regularly leave it on when I was trying to get out the door in a hurry… Which is almost every day when you are a working mom with 4 kids. I love the fact that this one has an automatic turn off. I also love that it actually says the word off. This is helpful for my kids when they are in my room I’m trying to do their hair.The base of it is also very smooth, silky rubber. If I had to come up with a con, it would be but the top plastic part that you hang onto as your curl is a little smaller than my last one. Easy to use, heats up quickly .Something about the ceramic coating really helps from damaging your hair.I have very thick natural curly hair. This curling iron helped me tame my hair asWell give me the professional style needed for the business office. Yet gave my hair a very nice style.

This is my first curling iron! It’s amazing! heat very fast and I need just 30 seconds to curl each strand of hair. My hair is thick and straight, and it always was very difficult to curl my hair up without products to help my hair stay curl. I don`t need products to help my hair stay curl with this Curling Iron. My hair stayed curled for a couple of days. I loved it! It’s a very good product with a good price. I recommend!

I bought this based on the great reviews however I have not been happy with this curling iron at all. It heats up fast however the handle gets so hot that you have to hold it at the bottom of the handle making it awkward to use, the stand is not tight so it keeps 'folding' toward the wand getting the hair tangled in it as I am wrapping the hair around the curling iron and lastly the area that push down on to open the clip gets so hot that the metal seems to have melted and keeps bending making the curling iron unusable without pushing it back up. I have been using curling irons for over 30 years and have never had an experience like this.

This curling iron is really easy to use, gets hot quickly, works well, and looks nice too. I’m comparing it to my old black CHI 1 1/4 inch curling iron that recently fell apart after five years. I paid less for this curling iron and it works almost exactly the same! The only difference being that the cord was longer, and the cool tip on the end of the wand was larger to prevent burning your fingers on the CHI than the Abody. Both the CHI and this Abody curling iron wand have the ceramic coating, instant heat, and super easy design to use. The handle is made out of some kind of rubber on the Abody-which gives a good grip, but the CHI had a hard plastic handle-which turned easier in your hand when twirling the hair around the wand. For the price, this is absolutely a good deal! The CHI is only slightly better by comparison, but just barely. My curls look GREAT! I hope this Abody 1 1/4” curling iron lasts just as long as my CHI curling iron did. 😊

The service was very nice and delivery it was as exected. The product comes in a very nice case, which makes it easy to carry it around. When it comes to efficiency, I want you to think about it this way: my hair is thin and usually doesn’t stay curled for longer than few hours, so imagine how surprised I was to see that using this one, my hair stays curled for few days and I’m not using expensive styling products. However, I haven’t tried the gloves. I’m really happy with the product and I will recommend it to anyone. Really worth the money

Pros: Light weight. Gets hot quick. The heat and barrel material do make your hair shiny and sleek. I have thick coarse hair and this iron could handle it.Cons: Temperature button is in a bad location where you can keep accidentally bumping it while you are using it. This particular wand reacted with my hair differently than I expected. I didn’t get volume— I got more sleek sleek curls that started deflating after about 30 min and eased into soft waves when I was hoping for big volume. Still debating on if I will keep or return. Part of me likes the sleeker look but it just wasn’t what I bought this for.

Stay away from this curling iron!! It fried my hair and burned it so badly! I was so upset by this...after years of using many different curling irons, I've never seen this. A good friend also got this same curling iron and had the exact same experience, so I know it wasn't just me. We both have dark blonde hair, so maybe it just doesn't work with lighter hair? My hair was so burned and fried (it literally changed color from the burning) I had to go to my stylist today and have the bottom two inches cut off. I just had to warn others so this hopefully doesn't happen to anyone else!
