Set of 3 Replacement Cartridges for the Franke Filterflow Olympus Kitchen Tap

Purchased these because my sink tap started dripping. I managed to find that it was the Hot Tap that was causing the problem. The first problem was to find a suitable Allen Key to remove the handle Maybe the correct key being included in the pack would solve everybody’s problem at little extra cost. Changing the leaking tap was easy after that. Remove the Handle, unscrew and remove the Sleeve and then unscrew the tap fitting. Refit the new tap, replace the sleeve and refit the handle. Turn on the water supply and check the tap for leaks. In my case the Tap was drip free. I will keep the other two inserts to fit if any leaks occur. Notice that the insert with the Red End is only for the Hot Tap. The other two open in an anti-clockwise direction. I cannot praise the inserts enough especially as for value for money. I would recommend people to purchase a set of these if their Franke Tap is more than 3 years old so that they can repair them as required, especially if the live in a hard water area.

They fit, just about but that's as much as can be said positively about these. Fitted in March and had already failed and dripping within a few monthsThe motion is very stiff, very rough and nothing like the original Franke ones. The levers also don't line up quite perfectly with uneven spacing and angle which can't be corrected.Once working mine didn't last long either. One has already failed only months after being installed. Don't hold much hope for the remaining 2 so will now source and alternative set.These are a false economy given the trade off in terms of quality, feel and durability. Pay the extra and get an original Franke set.
