Extreme BDSM Femdom view
What strikes me as so very different about this book by Sharyn Ferns from other BDSM books about femdom relationships, is that it is told from the viewpoint of the domme and not from the submissive. And, yes it is very extreme pain and suffering she makes these men endure for her, but she also lets the reader know what she gets out of this type of play or relationship both emotionally and physically. This is a voluntary review of this book.

An intimate glimpse inside the mind of a dominant woman
Unique in many ways, Domme Chronicles is more diary than narrative – a touching chronicle of passionate love between a dominant woman and her submissive boy. Like a series of love letters, the vignettes recount the author’s memories of a torrid affair; from the first tentative steps to incredibly hot scenes of fear and pain, helplessness and surrender.Books of this genre are often told from the submissive’s perspective and it sometimes seems as if the dominant is a mere actor in the submissive’s fantasy. It is the rare book that honestly examines the dynamic from the perspective of the dominant woman. Ferns takes us there, allowing a precious glimpse inside the hunger that drives her desire as she describes in exquisite detail exactly what makes his submission, his pain and even his suffering so very enticing. With so much popular interest in BDSM, this book offers a credible alternative to the fantasies and stereotypes so common in femdom literature. This is the story of an authentic D/s relationship. The scenes are both fierce and touching, playful one moment and violent the next. But in even the most intense moments, the author’s love and care for her boy, the object of her attention, is clearly seen. Highly recommended.

A facinating look at the world of BDSM
I loved it! I found the writing to be both powerful, and evocative, while the individual vignettes are presented in bite sized bits that always had me tempted to move on to the next one. This is not about "role playing", or just "Being a Domme", but rather,a fascinating look into the mind of the author, and the way she chooses to conduct her most intimate relationships. The scene changes rapidly, so the stories never bog down, and the emotions run from desperate hunger and desire, to incredible sweetness. It was a great read from beginning to end, and I am looking forward to hearing from her again.

More to it then kneeling
I like that this is so many different stories of dommes. Some stories are just really hot, some is like poetry, others is just super sweet and some stories is fairly brutal to their sub's which makes some great inspiration. I read a couple a night and take notes if I like something in peculiar. This is a really good start if you have your foot in the door or just need some inspiration.

so it's hard for me to leave a bad review. The biggest thing is the author's writing ...
This book makes me very horny every time I pick it up, so it's hard for me to leave a bad review. The biggest thing is the author's writing style is soooo repetitive that it's almost painful. Every sentence starts the same way with "I/he (insert random verb) etc." I smacked/I smiled/He grimaced. There is no variety in sentence structure. Still, like I said, the imagery is vivid and I cant complain about the ideas it puts in my head. Overall, not an awful book.

Sizzling
Fabulous writer who is witty, smart, sexy & just plain hot. Her stories will suck you in and not let go. Highly recommended for those 'in the know' and for the curious. Or...pretty much anyone with a pulse. Femdom literature is sadly lacking out there - this is a real jewel. Gritty and nasty, soft and sweet - it has it all. And the best part - this is real. No sad unrealistic porn stories but the real ones. Real hot achingly beautiful ones.

This is a must-read
I can't love this enough. The writing is marvelous, sometimes sweet and sometimes raw. These stories aren't *just* hot (though they are very sexy). Ferns lets us dive into moments of stunning intensity and intimacy. She shows a version of D/s largely missing from portrayals of BDSM: a real, human relationship, incredible trust, and a depth of connection that leaves me in awe and somewhat wistful. Anyone with any interest in femdom relationships should move this to the top of their reading list immediately.

Sensual literary and smart
Sharyn Ferns tells decidedly sexy, personal stories in a compassionate, funny, bright autobiographic manner that makes them all the more erotic, but also transcends the sensual into the literary.

A powerful glimpse into a dominant woman's lifestyle
Through a series of vignettes you're taken on a journey through the power dynamics of a female led relationship. Some scenes are highly sexual and raw while others show erotically sensual moments between loving and trusting people. Throughout the book you can feel the energy of every situation charging and overloading every sense. There are no coy moments, no coquettish teasing, this is a woman who is confident in her desires and her ability to fulfil them. Highly recommended for anyone interested in exploring this lifestyle.

Well-written and hot
A beautifully written and very realistic account of the life of a dominant woman. Many books in this area are poorly written and highly unrealistic, with this book you can tell that there is an educated, honest and real person behind it who knows her way around.

I love this woman!
I found Ferns through a site I won't name here, and have read her posts with interest and awe ever since. I absolutely adore the way she writes about the most sensual, sexual, erotic consensual cruelty, she's been an inspiration ;-)
