Feels comfortable against the eye and is noticeably larger than the original eyecup. The fit is tight and secure with no light leaks. Overall, it’s a solid replacement if you’ve lost the original eyecup, though I wouldn’t say it’s a significant upgrade over the stock one. (Fits perfectly on my Sony A7 III)

Nice long eye cup. Exactly what I wanted. Fitment is perfect. As if it was made by the manufacturer. Just a little bit bigger than the original it came with.

The Sony mirrorless eye cup in my experience did not perform quite good, I found it small and uncomfortable to the eye. I decide to change this and found this replacement. This eye cup is bigger and perform better that the original, very comfortable to the eye, will help you block the outside light and concentrating on the image that you are taking. Installation is easy, good soft material, now you won't leave greasy residue from your nose or cheek on the screen. You keep all the functionalities of the camera with this eye cup. I installed 1 in my A72 and in my A73, both great. The only drawback that I found is if your are using a gimbal (mine Zhiyun Crane) the eye cup will hit the motor depending of the lens you are using, in order prevent this you will have to take it off. Overall experience, positive, great eye cup for the money. Works with all A7 models and A9.

Works as advertised, does not block the live view sensor on my ILCEM2 Sony a7ii. Eye piece is not as soft as other reviews have suggested. It does block out the light as advertised. Works well, I do recommend this eye piece for the Sony a7ii.

this definitely changes things! you are no longer too close to the screen where. your nose can change your focus point. it also hides light from coming through much better than the OEM. Sony needs to make their eyecup larger like this

After having used this for a number of shoots, I find it extremely comfortable with the added length over the stock unit. It helps pull your face back from the screen making it much more comfortable to use the camera. I have had it out in several whale watching trips and it’s great for preventing light bleed making it ideal for time when the ambiant light is very strong. You can see the OVF clearly making shooting so much more fun and efficient. I may buy a second to have in hand just in case this one gets lost, and for that price it’s a no brainer.

Does NOT fit an A7siii (only A7iii is on the package), nor does it fit an A7RV, only A7RIV is on the package. The viewfinder in the A7siii and the A7RV is slightly wider than this allows and the eye sensor is at the bottom of the viewfinder for those cameras, not at the top like this eyecup requires. I obviously made assumptions I shouldn’t have when I purchased this for cameras that were not listed. If it did fit, I would keep it. It’s soft enough and would keep way more light out than the OEM eyecup.

Using this on my Sony A7r III. Provides good coverage when using it outside. It does stick out a bit more than the stock eye cap but since it's flexible and soft it doesn't get in the way when packing the camera. No complaints. If you are looking for a bigger eyecups then I would recommend this.

Great product for my Sony DSLR

This item was easy to install, is secure, fits well, and functions well. It is comfortable and an improvement on the original part. It remains to be seen how durable it is - I have only had it for a week.
