Some say EMF blockers are useless; others say they’re essential. My instinct tells me the truth is somewhere in between. Curiosity led me to the DefenderPad Laptop EMF Radiation & Heat Shield, a sleek, modern pad that promises to protect your body from both radiation and heat. I like that it’s slim, sturdy, and minimal. According to DefenderShield, their Ultra Armor+ shielding technology blocks up to 99 percent of EMF emissions—including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 5G frequencies—while the silicone thermal layer keeps heat from transferring to your lap. In real life, it feels simply cooler, both literally and aesthetically. My laptop stays put on its non-slip surface, and my legs no longer feel like they’re baking halfway through a writing session. I tested this using my Trifield TF2 device and it 100% works as expected. People giving it 1 star or saying it doesn't work almost made me second guess buying it, I'm glad I gave it a shot. People need to understand that this is meant to stop the EMF radiation and heat radiating out from beneath the laptop, to protect your lap. This protects the reproductive areas and that is most important! Obviously this is not offering any shielding for the top or the sides of your laptop, so there is no protection for your hands with this. Using a keyboard and mouse can help with that. The construction and quality of this is great so far, it feels sturdy and the grippy texture stops the laptop from sliding around. The blocking lowers levels significantly. I bought this with the DefenderPad Pillow and they work great together. The Pillow is comfy and adds another 3-4 inches of separation fromt he laptop to my lap, and reduces EMF levels further. Overall using both the pad and pillow I've reduced EMF levels from over 50 mG peaks to about 1 mG peak. I am using a Lenovo Legion Gaming Laptop, but if your laptop is putting out excessive EMF that could potentially change your results. One thing to consider is that EMF is increased when the laptop is plugged in, but even then I am reading less than 2mG peaks under the pad.

This is one of those products I wish I knew about sooner! I have been using laptops for nearly 2 decades and never given much thought about how much wireless radiation I am exposed to. It isn't until recently there have been much more awareness on the topic that I had to take action. One of those actions is buying this pad. The pad itself is very simple and very good quality. It has a nice rubber surface layer that sits on top of a sturdy tray. The rubber area grips to the laptop and absorbs heat. But if you are someone, like me, who tends to have their knees up it will slip down against your belly. Which is okay, since that is how I typically use my laptop but it still remains on top of this pad and still blocks any wireless radiation from below. As for heat this pad helps a lot. Since it is a flat surface there be improved air flow equivalent to using a laptop on a desk. Depending on how hot your laptop gets you will either feel no heat on the bottom or a small amount that one has to specifically touch the bottom to feel. If your laptop's fans are always whirling and running hot no matter what then I highly recommend to open it up and use canned air. I do this on mines every 6 months and it makes a big difference! This pad will not solve major overheating issues but will greatly lessen the heat has on your body. As for the wireless radiation blocking portion I haven't done any tests since I don't have one of those EMF meter thingies. They are quite expensive, especially a good one! This pad is designed to only reduce wireless radiation from below, which is very important, especially if you are a male. Although I can't say how much it reduces it by what I can say is that after a few weeks of use I do feel less fatigued than I usually did before. This is one of those products that is used daily without thought... until the laptop gets so hot that you are then reminded of it cuz you forgot to use it!

This one is a real heartbreaker...the technical protection is top-tier, but it’s ruined by one baffling design choice. On paper, it’s exactly what I was looking for: a rigid, multi-layered shield that creates a legitimate barrier between laptop and lap. You can feel the build quality - it’s dense, it’s sturdy, and it doesn't flex, which usually makes for a perfect mobile workspace. But in reality? The thing is a laptop ice rink! For some reason, the materials used on both the top and bottom surfaces have zero friction. My laptop wasn't just "slipping" - it was actively making a break for the floor every time my leg moved. I spent more time acting as a human safety net than working. After a third frantic, mid-air save to stop my computer from completing a suicide mission onto the hardwood floor, I realized this just couldn't be trusted. It’s a shame, because the "protection" side of the engineering (the heat blocking and EMF shielding) is clearly well-executed. But until they add some rubberized texture or some kind of real grip to the surface, it’s a massive liability for your hardware. I ultimately had to return it. If you value your screen's survival, you’re better off waiting for a version that doesn't double as a laptop diving board.

I feel a difference when using this pad. It absorbs the emitted EMF and it is handy to use it.

Pas de vraie protection contre la chaleur. Cela retarde peut-être légèrement la transmission mais ne la bloque pas. Chaleur identique avec ou sans. Pas d'amélioration de confort et le produit est couteux. Pour le rayonnement, je ne peux vérifier.

It works as advertised. However there is air inside the pad after a few months of light use. So for the air, which shouldn't exist, I'm taking one star off.

Purchased this based on my research and high ratings from all sources. Used it for a few days and then started to feel some heat starting to get hotter and to a point where my mac book would shut down or drain battery super fast. I measured it with EMF meter and the numbers either didn't make a difference or made it worst. Hoping it would work but disappointed on this product! Going to return it and shop for a different brand.

I bought an EMF meter and I was surprised at how much radiation was coming from my laptop I bought this product and nothing has changed.... it is heavy and appears to be good quality but EMF still exists
