Great book for kids

A book for the whole family to love
I truly love reading this book to my kids. The artwork, the straightforward discussion of where we can find God, the words create a kind of poetry while addressing such a complex concept all come together perfectly.I prefer this book to "Because Nothing Looks Like God" because it explores one concept which is all my kids can process at a time (they are 2 and 4). I also like that the book is chunky and can survive the enthusiastic page-turning of my tots. I also bought the other companion books to this title so we could explore the other ideas: "What Does God Look Like" and "How Does God Make Things Happen".It warms my heart endlessly when I see them "reading" this book to themselves. I thank you Lawrence & Karen Kushner for creating such a beautiful introduction to a fundamental question many of us navigate no matter our age.

Physically small book with simple idea that God is in the good things around us
I am a fan of Kushner and his books and audio CDs for adults. I think I read Overcoming Life's Disappointments and really enjoyed it. I am also not as traditionally religious as my daughter's preschool, which talks about Jesus and crosses, etc. so I thought this might be a good book for our home. I am a tad disappointed. First of all, this book is very small--much smaller than other board books, more like the tiny Dr. Seuss ones. I would have expected a $4 or $5 price tag for this size, not over $7.Second, it's very simplistic and expected, and short. Basically, God is in the pretty flower, God is there when people are nice to you, God is in the pretty sunset, etc. I don't know. Maybe it's not a fair expectation to have more, but I did.

Can't recommend highly enough
The absolute best book for young children to help them understand the abstract concept of God. I have given this to every new mom I know who is interested in Judaism. Beautifully done, illustrations are graceful. I can't say enough...it was the perfect way for me to explain God to my son when he was little.

Despite it bein written by a Rabbai, I think it is a great non-denominational book with pictures you can expand on for the lite ones and concepts that introduce important topics for the toddlers.

Great book
Very cute and simple book. I think it helped explain to my almost 3 year old the concept of God being all around us and part of us.

An absolute must for every household
This is the most precious, yet the most simple, explanation about God. I cannot count the times we have read this book. "God is everywhere we look." What a powerful message that is easy for kids to understand. I cannot recommend it enough - get it.

Just okay.
My boys favorite part of this book is the illustrations. He loves the picture of the little boy getting a band-aid put on his knee. Or the picture of the elderly lady in a wheel chair that reminds him of his mimi. The text is okay.

lovely but very small
I bought this book as a teacher to read too my children during our RE sacramental topic which can be quite an abstract topic. This book was perfect for this only it was too small to read to whole class or even small group would need a larger version to read to more than one child.

Excellent spiritual book for children (and their parents)
Fantastic book of spirituality and religion for all ages. I use it with children aged 1 to 10.
