Well Constructed Fotopro NGC-75 Carbon Fiber Monopod from CustomSLR
Being someone who prefers tripods to monopods I was surprised when I developed a liking for CustomSLR's Fotopro carbon fiber offering, which looked well constructed. Here is the product:Fotopro NGC 75 Carbon Fiber MonopodThe monopod is very light, thanks to its carbon fiber construction. It feels pretty strong, and promises to withstand a significant load capacity. Not that I'll ever get to test that out since I use a relatively lightweight DSLR but the strength is always welcomed. It comes with five leg sections which loosen with ¼ turn. The design helps greatly with portability as well. It includes the standard G-lock design so extending the monopod is very easy. The monopod comes with a waist holster and a carry bag, as well as a Hex tool and a Wrist band strap. I found these additions interesting, given the already aggressive price of $65. I liked that the dual thread screw base allowed me to attach my camera straight on. I've been disappointed with ball heads before, so this direct mounting option appealed greatly.Overall, the carbon monopod felt purposefully constructed, and though I won't be using it as often as I would like to, I get the feeling that it's going to stay with me for a very long time.Once again, I would say it works really well and is highly recommended..

Very light and study monopod
I have been using this monopod for a few weeks and have never been a big fan of monopods. Needed this one for the specific kind of shoots and so far it's been amazing. The accessories in the package are great, especially the belt attachment. It makes the monopod much easier to carry without adding more weight to the backpack. Since it's carbon, it's really light. And it has the the ergonomic lock sister which helps the monopod stay slim and also allow for easy release locks. Overall, I'm super happy with the monopod. I use it on the hikes, on the beach, and in some shoots where I need added stability. Probably the only monopod I'll ever need. I reviewed is here, if you want to see some more photos of it: [...]I really like it and I would totally recommend it.
