Firefield Monopod Shooting Stick

Hiked 6+ miles a day using it this hunting season. I'm not a small person and had zero issues with it telescoping in on itself... you have to tighten the set screws before use and I see from some other reviews that people aren't doing that and giving this a poor review from their own error. Did use it as a bino and spouting scope stand and it worked great! Didnt get a chance to shoot off of it but it definitely holds the rifle much steadier than without it.

The best feature is the cork handle - it fits nicely in hand. Also it's easy to adjust, stable as well as quiet. I really like the ski pole basket attachment for snowy conditions and doubles as hiking stick. I have used both with rifle and crossbow. My only complaint is the lower foam portion of handle lacked some tackiness and adhering to pole. Last, there's an opportunity for Firefield to offer accessories that fit the screw mount - like camera or binocular mounts. Heck, even a velcro type strap or sling to carry it when not using as pole. Overall, I really like this product and price is right.

I use this for both hiking, glassing, and shooting. Being able to change out the top and mount my binoculars and switch over to the V rest quickly is probably my favorite feature so I don't feel like I have to wear my binoculars around my neck all day. When you get this out of the box you will have to tighten the screws for the locking clamps other wise it won't be able to hold any weight or support the weight of the gun very well. The other thing you should know is that this is great to have to steady your rifle but if you are going to make a shot farther than 200-250 yards I would not use a mono pod shooting stick because there is still a lot of movement that is hard to control.

Loved this, solid as walking stick and shooting stick; it is a monopod so will not be as steady as bipods etc. Fits my use for a crossbow.

I read prior reviews and was a little apprehensive do to the cost but I’ve had two over the past 8 years and they have served me well. I use it as a support rest in my ground blind because it is a single post. I’ve had no issues using it as a hiking support stick or in the blind. It’s easy to adjust and stays “put” after adjustment

Difficult to maneuver in thick brush, but sturdy enough to take the beating. I am very pleased with this purchase.
