I bought this to replace one which was, accidentally, ruined.Unfortunately, the rubber grip is not nearly as robust or comfortable and the handle and lid are not as heat resistant.It is still a decent saucepan but not anywhere near as good as the original.

Flaws of the new design
The handle of the new pan design is disproportionately small and uncomfortable to hold especially when pan is full of water (with food) so it will be difficult to drain. otherwise the quality of metal is good but because of the handle....Return

Great pan, hot handle
I've had Meyer pans for years, and although this is a well-made product, UNlike all my previous Meyers on this one the handle is not heatproof. Boiling a couple of eggs means I have to use an OVENGLOVE to take it from stove to sink. Not up to their usual standard.

TOO HOT TO HANDLE
I have had a piece of Meyer for many years that does not retain heat this one I found to be the opposite! Firstly the lid gets hot and I had to “snatch back” my hand! This item should be handled with care in the kitchen. There is no need to speak about design when the basics cannot be met as I could not get beyond that. Nice pot but too hot to handle without gloves but if you are up for that ..nice pot.
