If you're looking for an undercoat rake on Amazon, there's a BIG selection and price range for them. You'll find them from ten bucks all the way up to sixty dollars or more. So i asked Gemini which one of recommends and this was it's first pick. According to Gemini this one on particular has the best reported quality and feedback from buyers. Also the price was much lower than the "top of the line" ones that function the exact same. So i decided to try it. I just received mine today and immediately had to test it out on my shepherd husky mix. Hes a big dog and has very thick fur. I gotta say at first i was skeptical and thought "how could it work with that much space between the blades?". Well after using it for 2 minutes i realized i have an awesome tool in my hands! It works SO GOOD i was honestly blown away. I wouldn't recommend using it indoors unless you want hair everywhere. I've tried the shedding blade style ones, time thin bristle ones, and everything in between, and this one is hands down the best hair removal brush I've ever used on my dog. It's easy to use, it's made well, its inexpensive, and it's the best brush I've used on my dog by far.

THIS THING IS THE MOST AMAZING GROOMING TOOL EVER!!! I cannot tell you all how much this has just changed my life! Our sweet girl is 13 years old and a corgi mix (rescue). She has the most unbelievably thick double coat. As she has gotten older it has not shed properly and every trick I have tried has not helped the insane hair shedding she has had in recent years. I sat down today and lovingly brushed her for an hour with this thing. She absolutely was in heaven! I literally have two dogs now with this amount of fur that came off with each stroke. It never hurt her and she enjoyed every minute of cuddle time. The blades are not sharp and it was very easy to handle. The detangling side worked great to start, then the undercoat side was shear magic. I cannot recommend this little tool enough!!!

I was skeptical at first ,but my blue heeler sheds like crazy . I was tired of sweeping all the dog hair off the hardwood floors every other day. When it arrived, I used it the same day on her. I noticed a difference in her coat and all the dead loose hair it got out was crazy. I've used it several more times since then. You can definitely tell a huge difference in her coat and the amount I have to sweep up off the floors. Very great product. Only regret I have is I wished you bought it sooner.

I tried ot.first on my chocolate lab. It did great, but not nearly like the videos. Then I tried it on my nieces mutt. OH MY GOD! Within a minute I had a solid 1 foot wide solid hairball. It was so easy and he felt so much better! No whining or pulling away, just happy shedding. I was skeptical, but this brush is fantastic!

After more than 50 years of grooming dogs and trying just about every deshedding and dematting tool on the market, this is the one that has actually stood the test of time for me. Most of the others eventually fail in one way or another. The rubber handles get soft, shred apart, crack from garage heat, or the whole tool loosens up after real-world use. I still have some old ones wrapped in tape and patched together because they simply didn’t hold up. This Maxpower tool is different. Not only has it held up far better than the others, but it also flat-out works better. That’s the strange part. Looking at it, you’d think it was just another dematting rake like all the rest. But in actual use, it performs differently. It pulls through heavy coats better, removes loose undercoat faster, and handles mats that many other tools would turn into a miserable battle or force you to cut out completely. I use doodles, so matting is not a small issue around here. This tool has worked through mats I honestly thought were going to require scissors. Somehow it breaks them apart more effectively and with less struggle than the competition. The handle has also survived real use and abuse. If you groom regularly, especially larger dogs or heavy-coated breeds, you already know these tools get stressed hard over time. This one has taken it. Five stars without hesitation. This is one of the very few grooming tools I’ve bought over the years that I would immediately buy again if I lost it tomorrow. In fact, while writing this review, I bought another one even though my last two are still doing perfectly fine. I saw a new color on the product listing and decided I wanted it.

Easy and very effective. I use this on our Australian Shepherd a couple times a week and it really helps keep her coat looking great and reduces the fur found around the house. Having 2 sides really helps the tangles. I usually use a slicker brush first in those tangled areas and then follow up 1st with wide side (less teeth) then close side (more teeth). Definitely recommend as a must have if your furry pet sheds.

Unbelievable how super effective this device removes both bottom and top coat of a Shiba. The device has two different rakes one for detailed and the other side for hair removal. Dog even liked it and got happy and wanted to play when finished.

I bought this to groom my long-haired cat. It's so effective: knots are removed without causing distress. I don't know how I managed before getting this! I would definitely recommend this tool.
