What a great case!
[update] I've had this case for two years now, and it's still great. The outside has worn smooth from use. I've dropped it any number of times onto every kind of surface. The screen protector wore out and has been replaced twice. The case is still in great shape. The phone is in perfect condition. The little rubber flaps that cover the USB and headphone jack still snap back into place by themselves. The only thing that has broken is that the little dust filter over the speaker on the bottom fell off.I am very impressed by Trident's design and choice of materials, and highly recommend.I still press the volume and power buttons by accident. Maybe Trident makes a new model with recessed buttons? :)[Original review]So far, I've dropped it twice, both times onto tile. It bounces, the case and phone undamaged. The case gives just enough protection, but the phone is so thin that it still seems a bit slim and slides easily into pockets. In fact, it's so thin that I think the phone might be a bit more comfortable to use with a bit *more* case. But I have pretty big hands. The case makes the buttons very easy to press. Perhaps a bit too easy, I frequently adjust the volume by accident. I prefer them too easy than too difficult, but this is a personal preference. The back side of the case is formed with a smooth ridge down the center that makes it a bit easier to notice whether the phone is slipping, but the backside does not have nonslip accents. I find that unlike my previous case, it slides off of the (flat plastic) center console of my car. However, this makes it easier to put into pockets. I think that's a fair trade, as I can add nonslip to the car, but I can't fix my pockets. :)I bought it in red. The color is more of a muted blood red, not the electric red that the nexus 5 has. I am simultaneously disappointed and pleased, as I was hoping for a higher visibility color (to make it easier to find), but it looks very nice.I like the design of the covers over the headphone and charge port. Rather than being held in place by plugging the hole, they are held in place by the shape of the support, and can be easily opened by pushing backwards. This makes it possible to plug in the USB by holding the phone with one hand, and using the USB plug to open the port and then plug it in. Like all rubberized port covers, I expect they will eventually fall off, but they are nice right now. The headphone port is a little tight, but my headphone jack just fits. The surrounding material is rubberized, so if your headphone jack is a bit bulky you might still be able to use it with some careful cutting, or just by pushing a little harder to stretch it.There really are dust covers over the speaker and mic holes. They really do seem to work. Surprised.I am using the included screen protector. It is the "stiff hard plastic with gentle adhesive" type. Went on easily with no bubbles (brand new phone), and I had to reposition the start twice to get it straight, and it worked fine. The very edges of the protector are not flush, but that's OK in this case; I believe they expect you to use this case, so that the case will prevent the edges from getting pulled up, preventing it from peeling off, and that seems to work perfectly here. I would not use the screen protector by itself, but with the case it's good. Doesn't quite feel like glass but it's above average.I like it. Will definitely consider Trident brand cases in the future.[update] After 3 months, still liking it. I have no problems charging with various wireless chargers.I've noticed that with the black and red, it looks like a robot ladybug. For whatever that's worth. :)

Otterbox like protection
I purchased this case because I work in a cabinet shop and I wanted something that would cover the ports of the phone to prevent wood and paint/lacquer dust from getting the phone. This case accomplishes that splendidly.Pros1. Case covers all ports. The speaker and microphone are covered by a thin mesh on the polycarbonate piece. These are very effective at keeping the dust and particulates out of the phone. They are not water proof or resistant.2. Good drop protection. I have dropped my phone several times and it has suffered no harm3. Easy to remove or install. See Cons # 2Cons1. If you work in a high dust environment like I do you should clean the mesh for microphone and speaker often, it will make it difficult for people to understand what you are saying if it is plugged up.2. Bulky. Will not work with Qi chargers. It is too thick for my stock Nexus charger so I remove it when I'm not at work.3. By far my biggest annoyance with this case is the TPU around the camera lens. When installing the TPU (with phone inside) into the polycarbonate, the TPU has a thicker edge around the lens that never seems to fit into place without running something around the edge. It gets stuck underneath the polycarbonate piece.I have a very specific goal with this case and it delivered satisfactorily. If you want protection and you don't care about wireless charging or bulk, this is a good way to go.

Great phone. Would buy again. No issues gripping.
I own 5 different Nexus 5 cases and this one is the best.Protection 5/5- The protection this phone provides is great, better than any of the Nexus 5 Spigen cases.Ease of Use/ Design 5/5- In addition this case makes it easier to remove your phone, should you want to. The cases is great at keeping dust out. After a month i took the case off and there was NO dust between the case and the phone. That is pretty unreal. Also the phone is shaped quite well, and perfectly accommodates a screen protector without pushing up the edges (unlike spigen cases).Appearance 5/5- Case looks good. The inside has a very cool trident logo. Skeleton design is nice, and the outside logo on the bottom of the case look good, actually adding to the appearance of the phone. .Grip 5/5 (Includes my advice)- I read another person's review and someone complained about it sliding around in their car -_-. Easy fix, DON'T TEXT AND DRIVE. I leave my phone in my pocket or in a compartment while driving so haven't experienced this issue. That being said there is no grip issues when holding this phone. The way it is designed you must utilize the grips on the sides of the phone. With a light pressure grip on both sides of the phone you can hold it upside down with no danger of it falling (it grips well). My hands aren't large and I can manage to hold the phone safely in this case one handed. If you plan to balance your phone on your steering wheel, this is not the case for you; and maybe you shouldn't be driving.

I'm waiting for more then a month for my package to arrive!
I usually have my orders very quickly from amazon or every site I used, but this is really way to long!
