Looks chic while getting the job done
This product looks much better than the plastic or soft alternatives but makes it so much easier for the pups to get up onto our bed or the couch. It’s also super sturdy, so the dogs never worry about the stairs slipping on them. The only thing is it can be tougher to clean given the smaller and felt like surface.

Good, but we had to stablize
Our 12 year old has terrible arthritis and needs help to get in to our bed. Once my husband stabilized the steps with non-skid pads, they work great for her. She uses them to go up and down. We found that just putting the stairs by the bed for a few days, she started using them on her own. Very helpful product for older dogs.

Sturdy and easy to set up and store
I bought this for my older springer spaniel who is having arthritis issues in his legs and can't jump on the bed anymore. My youngest dog ran right up, and my little chihuahua-mix got the hang of it with treats. My springer still needs help going up but it's easier than me picking him up. I find these stairs to be very sturdy. The steps don't wobble at all, even on carpet. I think my springer's issues are just his frustration over his lack of mobility rather than an issue with the stairs themselves. I would highly recommend them. Easy to use and they work just like they are supposed to.

This is perfect for a tall mattress!
After having tried MANY pet steps, we found a winner!!! All the stairs we tried were just too short for our Mini Schnauzer to reach our bed without jumping from the last step. Plus, he wouldn't walk down them at all. The first step was too far down from the edge of the bed. We bought the steps so that he wouldn't constantly jump off of the bed and we wouldn't have to lift him up each night. Constant jumping off the bed will affect his hips long term. Our dog is 16 pounds. Can't say how it would work with a large dog. I would think it would work well. It is VERY sturdy. Plus, it looks good with our bed.I had read some of the negative reviews and was hesitant to buy this. I bought a smaller version at Pet Smart from the same manufacturer and it wasn't great quality. This is. It is heavy and the front legs latch solidly. As I said, not sure how it will work for a large dog. But, I think it will be fine. Granted, this isn't from a fine furniture line. They are dog stairs after all. But it does look good with our bedroom furniturePros:It is very sturdy walking up. No shaking or moving at all. That will freak a dog out and you will have a hard time getting them to use it.Good looking wood graining and stain color.Solid latching front leg.Stair tread can be vacuumed and are not slippery.Easy to set up.Can be stored under a bed or in a closet if you want it out of the way. (It would be a little heavy to do that daily though)Should be good for a large dog. Tested over 200 pounds! (Ours is only 16 pounds)Assembled out of the box!Would buy it again!!!Cons:If you have a short legged dog, this may not work well. Step treads may be too far appart.Training MUST be expected and not training your dog doesn't mean the stairs don't work! I think some people expect the dog to just walk right up the stairs without any training. Our dog is VERY easy to train and not afraid of much at all and I had to train him to use the stairs. Our dog was a little afraid at first. I took his favorite treats and put it on the second step so he would get on the first one. Then I took another treat and stood beside the bed and let him see me drop the treat on the bed. Then I took another treat in my hand and put it in front of the stairs and moved the treat up the steps while saying, "Walk up the stairs". He walked up pretty slowly at first, but he made it. When he got on the bed, I praised him and showed him the treat that I dropped on the bed. Then I took another treat, held it under his nose and said, "Walk DOWN that stairs". He jumped off of the bed! ;o( No treat given that time! Then I repeated that training over and over again until he had it down. Didn't take long. He's much smarter than I am!These stairs are perfect for our dog and I am SO GLAD that I didn't just read the negative reviews and not buy these dog stairs. I would still be looking! :o(

Ok but not great. I expected more given the price.
Our dog is 14 and given the hight of our bed, we purchased these so she didn't have to jump on the bed. Firstly, given the price, we expected a little bit higher quality product. Our first package arrived destroyed but it was taken care of by Amazon with zero issues. The wood is a good color and that's mainly why we purchased it. Unfortunately, the folding option creates a bit of a wobbly and insecure experience on carpet. Also, while the stairs are carpeted, it's fairly rough but at the same time slippery, and really doesn't provide much traction for old paws. Think swimming pool house industrial carpet. It just barely does what it needs to do. Our girl honestly doesn't like using these but she's able to manage it. There's definitely room for improvement in this design to make it more secure and comfortable.

Works well but large
I thought I was buying the smaller version but because they’ve changed the company name of smaller I ordered incorrectly.I kept the larger one because it works for little our dog to climb up on the bed by himself. He’s slightly handicapped- back legs are weak.Be sure to measure because this large set has a greater distance between each riser - it’s wider and takes up lots of floor space. And a good way to break your toe in the dark…😏

Well built
Very sturdy, wide steps and not too steep for my bulldog.
