best nerf gun ever. period. all the small nerf guns are junk and worthless. They jam, they shoot like crap, and you will never find the bullet.The jumbo version is the best. It is accurate to at least 40 feet and almost never jammed up. After a lot of shooting they might break or wear but then you get a new set for $10 and it just keeps shooting. We wear the bullets out in 4-6 months but we use them a LOT. These toys are worth every penny. Kids and adults will love it too. Don't waste your money on anything else, specially on a small nerf gun, they are utter crap.Get one of these for every person in a family, put on glasses (yes, it is recommended as this guy shoots far and strong) and have a fight in a back yard, in a house, in a park, etc. It is a best thing to get everybody exercise. This gun makes toy-gun-fight really fun.It does not hurt when you get shot but on the eye it could hurt, so wear eye protection.warning - it is not just for kids. Adults will love it too, so don't forget to get one for each person !!!

This gun can be a lot of fun, but it has a few technical issues that can get in the way of your ongoing office need war.Firstly, let's get down to brass tax. This gun packs a whallop. Be prepared to deal with complaints, as the larger, more capable mega dart flies farther and hits harder than smaller elite darts. I don't know if these could leave a bruise or not (probably not), but they certainly can knock items off shelves. The harder hitting and longer range darts are ultimately the selling point of the mega line, and the Mega Magnus will not disappoint.That is, if you can hit anything. Shooting a mega dart is like playing roulette...your dart may hit your target square in the chest, or may decide to veer off into a C-Executive's office. Not everyone supports your skirmishes after scrum :(The Magnus uses a spring and has a three dart clip. To load a dart, you have to squish it into the top loading clip. As a Nerf enthusiast, it's hard to believe that Hasbro would expect you to apply force on the weakest part of the dart-the foam- to load it into place. Unlike similar Nerf weapons in the elite line, it requires a surprising amount of force to get it into the clip.On top of it all, you have to cock the gun to store all three darts into the gun. If you follow the instructions, Hasbro specifically cautions against keeping the gun cocked for long term storage, meaning you will have to keep a dart loose.So, with all these complaints, why four stars? When I bought this gun, it was 7.49! It will never win the war, but its certainly fun to carry his gun around the office and try out your best Judge Dress impersonation.

This is a great blaster. Hundreds of reloads and zero jams. The darts are much more durable than standard darts. These fly far and fast. Oh, they whistle too. Way cool. Most accurate blaster we own. I will offer a word of caution. This one is not for the little kiddos. It packs quite a punch. The frustration free packaging is great, unless you like the retail graphics for gifting. My new favorite. Highly recommended.

Great gun . I played w my grandson and he cud reload it efficiently and he's 6 years old. Great distance and shoots accurately. Love it

I bought this to use at work in our office Nerf gun wars and I'm afraid I'm going to have to take it back home because it's just too powerful. We were using an assortment of other guns (Maverick, Retaliator and Firestrike guns) and this crushes all of them. I would absolutely recommend this for adults but it really is too much for the office where I work.A few other points worth noting include:The gun itself feels solid and well put togetherHuge darts (regular N-strike darts fit inside of them) really travelThe whistling darts only whistle after they travel a good distance (20 feet) and aren't too loudEye protection is a must with these given the size and velocity of the dartAccuracy seems to be rock solid up to 15-20' (I can reliably hit water bottles at that distance) but tapers off past that range

I have a large number of nerf guns and this would be one of my favorite nerf guns. It is accurate and powerful and is small enough to hold with one hand but big enough to hold with two hands at the same time. This makes it very useful in nerf battles because you are not having to lug around a large heavy blaster which slows you down. I am rating this blaster with five stars because of it's convenient size, accuracy and power.

Gun shoots well, but the loading/firing mechanism needs work. The gun uses the slide to load and prime the dart, but the dart sometimes fails to set properly and gets crushed by the loading mechanism. The misfire is no big deal, but sometimes the crush damages the dart to the point where it no longer fires from my smaller BigShock Mega dart guns. Since you load it from the top, you also need to slightly crush the dart. Over time, I suspect this is unkind to the darts, which Nerf conveniently sells right here on Amazon.Edit: The slide is, in fact, very satisfying to slam forward. I'm not referring to the "Nerf slam action" that won't be available in Mega until Fall 2015's Rotofury, but the feeling of slamming the slide forward to ready it for firing. Makes me smile...except when it smashes a dart about 3% of the time.I recommend the CycloneShock over this for only $9 more. Kinder to your darts, holds twice as many rounds, and you feel like Dirty Harry.
